Nodding to dues Pol answered, "yes, those were to cover my face and hands from view.....when I was first seen after these tattoo's appeared it was thought to be a grave disfigurement, so, I kept them hidden, preferring people to think I was burnt or simply beaten with the ugly stick one too many times. that, and the fact that I have no pupils tended to creep people out, so the bandages were more for hiding my face than for any actual healing or things like that. but since no one's gone screaming and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, I figure I just made too big a deal of it." with a sigh, Pol thinks to himself, okay, maybe I made the wrong joke, and I should definately apologize to Mi'ia for it...but I think I'll wait until kiley has had a chance to calm her down, if I went now she might simply close herself off from me and refuse to listen.
Taking a breath, Pol continued, " now, as for my story...I think I'll start with where these tattoo's came from, and why I can't see through my eyes. up until my 13th birthday everything was going great, I was learning the arts of exorcism, I was set to be one of the journeymen, and with luck, the next head exorcist of my family-clan. that changed when, on my birthday, I awoke to have a really crappy present...I was blind, my hair lost its color, and worse than that, I had these markings on my face and hands, so when I stumbled around in my room, my older brother nearly killed me thinking I was a demon replacement." with a sigh, Pol continues his story, " but worse than that, when my brother took me to see a healer, my village was attacked, and not only attacked, ravaged, and the remains were more or less scattered to the four winds. of course, I couldnt see any of it, but the smell was bad enough. anyway, my brother left me in the care of a neighboring village of healers, and set out to find the ones who dessicated our home. I spent about 2 years there as I learned to see without my eyes, after which I spent the next 3 or so looking for my brother." with a shrug Pol finishes, " and although I never did find him, I did find the order. how about you?"
Nodding, he followed along with Pol's story, wondering how people could act like that in this world. It matched up with some of the other stories he had heard in his travels, however; there was a real need for something like the Order to exist.
"I am afraid that my story is not nearly as... terrible as yours. My family, that of Clan Gras'Vhan, has always been apart of the Order. My father was a Knight, and his father a something of a Mage, I believe. I have been traveling for some five years, learning the ways of the world. I have finally decided to start upon my destiny, and join the ranks of the Order."
He looked to the sky, seeming lost in thought. In a much lower voice, he continued, almost to himself. "I can see now why I was told the see the world first before I joined the Order; it has given me much perspective on things..."
mi'ia sobs softly again and then says kinda jerky, "i-i j-just can-n't be th-there any *hic* more." mi'ia sits down in the dark and tries to get a hold of herself. she tries to slow down her breathing. after a moment of trying this she stands up and and starts to run. she runs untill shes tired.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kiley wonders towards the sound of Mi'ia's voice. "Miss Mi'ia?" she calls out again as she wonders farther from the group. She stops for a moment and listens to see if she could hear her. "Miss Mi'ia?" she calls out again softly. Its really dark. Maybe I should head back. She wonders a bit further listening carefully before stopping. I guess she must be good at hiding. I better head back. It's really dark. Where's the camp? She looks around for the light of the camp fire.
A sudden, chill hand fell upon Kiley's shoulder, and quickly spun her about. There before her was the palor face of Freel Tiilgato, one of the Grandmaster's Knights. He quickly ascertained the situation, and raised a finger to his lips. He pointd to the Dreaming Moon and back to the earth. Finally, he waved for her to follow him. He moved quickly, but quietly, amongst the underbrush. Within moments, the two were back at the outer layer of foliage that surrounded the camp site. Freel pointed towards the fire. When Kiley looked, there sat the worried members of the party. When she looked back, Freel was gone. Without sound and sight, the Itinerant Knight has once again disappeared like the Grandmaster.
Stunned for a moment Kiley does the first thing that comes into her mind. She runs straight into the camp shouting "Master Kraln! Master Kraln!" she calls out. She stops before him and blurts it out like a small child. "Iwentinda dark t'look for...*pant*... Miss Mi'ia 'ndheni got lost... *pant*... buthenisawone oda Grandmaster's knights ...*pant*... andee brought me backere 'ndhenee... *pant*... disappeared!" She says it all so fast that the speed of her words and her panting from running makes it difficult to understand.
lylith looks around and relizes that she has wondered farther from camp than she thought. as the noise of the night was hiting her she suddenly felt very at home. she missed the forrest. she didnt relize how much she had missed the forrest untill now. she stretches and quickly climbs up a tree neerby. at this moment she feels like she is a little cub again and starts to play.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Looking over at Kiley, Pol blinked, and stood up, walking over to lay a calm hand on her shoulder as he said, " uh.....huh.....calm down, it's not THAT urgent, take a few minutes to catch you breath and gather your thoughts, then tell us what it was, ok?" eheh....unless it was a charging bear or something, but I didnt hear any words that sounded like bear in that....but what else could get her so worked up? hmmm....if it was another one of those things it would have come crashing through the trees...oh well, we're just going to have to wait to find out...
Kiley breathes heavily with a look of confusion. They didn't understand me? She sighs heavily and trys to keep it short. "I saw... one of... the Grandmaster's... Knights!" she says still breathing heavily. She points in the direction she came from and where she had last seen the man.
Kraln was suddenly dumbfounded by what Kiley had to say. He stammered out, "H-how could the Knights be here!!" He was certain the goal of the Knights was to defend the Grandmaster. Why were they still around the Supplicants?
Tia jumped up, "But where is Lylith!" She grabbed Kiley's shoulders. "Tell me you saw Ma'Ia out there?" She was frantic. It was rare for Tia to meet someone from Mowershe since she had left it. She didn't want to lose the only person from her home she had found.
(Lylith's Tree)
A solitary shadow lingered upon the branch above the Mowershian. A light chuckle escaped the figure's lips. Obviously female, she descended to the branch in front of Ma'Ia and said, "Child, why are you playing out here in the dark?" Stepping where the Supplicant could see the features better, the woman is easily recognized as Grandmaster Jaya Killard.

Kiley looks at Tia stunned at first. "I... I didn't see her." she says timidly. "I... I heard her for... for a while but... I... I couldn't find her. When I couldn't hear her anymore I... I got lost and... and thats when Master Freel lead... lead me back here. Then he... he disappeared. May... maybe he went to find Miss Mi'ia." She looks around at those around her a little fightened by the reactions of Kraln and Tia.
Tia let go of Kiley, realizing that there really was nothing else to do. "It's not your fault, I guess. I'm sorry for being rough just there, Kiley." Tia seemed to bat at an invisible ear atop her head. "I'm just really worried about Lylith. She is the only other person from Mowershe I have met since leaving home." She sat back down and looked into the fire again.
Kraln spoke up again. "It is truth. If the Grandmaster and her Knights are out there, then Lylith may be safer than she would be here." Kraln also sat back down around the fire. "I doubt there is much we can do at this point to help."
Tia glanced over at Kraln and scoffed, "If it weren't dark, I would be out there helping. But I don't want to be another lost member of the party." She laid back and gazed up at the stars in the clear sky. She noticed that Jiret, the Dreamer Moon, had risen. She wondered what it would be like to visit Jiret sometime.
mi'ia was frightened when she saw the shadow in the the trees above her. when she finnally saw who it was she was less frightened but more leary. why is the person they were looking for in the shadows? doing what grandmother did? mi'ia smiled and crouched down on her branch. "i'm letting go. trying to find some solace in my familare territory. is there something wrong with that, grandmaster?" she looks up at the grandmasters face. "so why are you out here when its obvious that we have been looking for you?" she had a look of challange on her face.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kiley stands there still slightly stunned. the look on her face is one of mixed emotion, saddness, fear, disapointment, surprize, and wonder. Her mind races trying to make sense of everything. trying to understand how Freel had disappeared, or if it was really Freel she saw. Her feels bad that she hadn't found Mi'ia, that Tia is worring about her. She stands there with her eyes wide looking at the ground in a kind of self-enduced shock.
Staring at Kiley for a few moments, Pol blinks and shakes his head then they are observing us....unless....this could be a trap. As far as we know the beast we fought wasn't necessarily sent by the grandmaster as a test, as such, it could be a ploy. if there are beings disguising themselves as the grandmaster and her entourage, then this would be a VERY bad time for Mi'ia to be alone....crap, and I'm the one who made her leave in the first place with an ill thought out jest....well, in either case, we need to find her now.
After quickly checking to ensure his belt was still on, Pol took a breath and said, " look, it doesnt matter if the knight you saw was one of the real one's or not, right now we need to find Mi'ia, okay? so I suggest anyone else who can see well in the dark come with me, we can check back at the camp site every half hour or so. if we find something and need help, we yell, okay? wether this is the grandmaster and her group or not is up for debate, and we don't have time to debate if it isn't." This said, Pol began walking though the brush, carefully scanning the area with his spiritual sight (which, by definition, isn't hampered by lack of light, only lack of life) looking for any sights of Mi'ia.

Tia noticed that Pol had stood. She, too, stood. "If you can find her, I will go with you." She grabbed the Oracillion and stood beside the blind man. Talk about irony she thought to herself. Blind leading the seeing.
(Ma'Ia's Tree)
Jaya looked around at the grounds. "Familiar, hm. Mowershe was my home for a decade. I can understand why you would need some time to be back in the wilds." She walked gracefully, upright, down the limb and sat beside Lylith. "I am out here looking for something. You may not have noticed it, but I did when the grodsich showed up." She wrinkled her nose. "It was something more. I'm sure if you tried now, you could feel it. A spirit. A lonely one, what's more, trying to summon people to stay with it. A soul longing to move on but too scared to try." She cast her eyes over to Ma'Ia without moving her head. "You know what that is like to a soul? To want to be with Pantheon but to be too afraid of being with them?"
Kiley goes over and sits down on the ground. She leans over and tucks her self into a ball. I wish I could help, but it is too late now. I am so tired, but I will stay awake until they return. She looks up and begins searching the ground for plants that she reconizes as useful. I have to stay awake.
After wandering around the woods seemingly at random, Pol grew frustrated and grabbed his head in his hands, ruffling his hair and saying, " damn, why can't I find her? it's like fate is jumping in and slapping me in the face or something..." With a sigh, he led Tia back to camp, continuing along the way with, " I can't focus myself enough at the moment, there are too many life forms around for me to easily distinguish her...." as they got back to camp, Pol spoke once mroe, clenching his fist and saying with a hint of humor in his voice, "stupid squirells, I'll get my revenge on them some day.....but for now they have won...."
Kiley looks up suddenly as they return, the hope fades from her face as she relizes that they did not bring back Miss Mi'ia. She stands and takes off her necklace and walks up to Pol. "Pol," she says quietly, "maybe I can help find her. I can't see in the dark, but I can feel the weight and pull of the crystal." She looks at him wearily, everything about her speaks tired, no matter how hard she tries to hide or deny it.
"to be with a soul? and not to be with pantheon. That makes sence. it may be lonely but you would still be here. not that i would want that unless she wanted me to but i can understand it." mi'ia searches for the ghost that they were talking about. see if she could see it.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
