Deus watched the group carefully, keeping track of the conversation. When Kiley stated their direction, Deus nodded and joined in. "Your plan is a good one, Pol. I would be proud to take the front; don't worry about me, I've got a nice, thick hide." He grins toothily, stepping in the direction Kiley pointed.
mi'ia speaks up and asks "so do you still want me to smell because we know the general direction of where she went. it would be easier for me to pinpoint where she is. that is if you still want me to." mi'ia waits for their reply. as she waits she puts up her paw like hand to tia and smiles.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kraln spoke up again, finally. "I will be taking the point, Pol. It is my duty and honor to make sure you five Supplicants make it to the Sacred Copse. Alive." He looked at the five of them. "I understand the rush of exhiliration following such a decisive victory." He scowled suddenly, "However, you are still Supplicants. Ma'Ia will walk with me." He looked at her specifically "Do let me know if the scent's direction changes. Next will be Deus, then Pol, Kiley, and finally Tia will take rear guard." He moved hastily, but proudly, farther down the canyon path. "Let's go, everybody."
Tia looked to Lylith. "Looks like I'll be covering our tails, Cub." She already considered the Mowershian her family. "I'll see you when we stop for camp." She held her hand out, knuckles clenched and held upwards. She waited for the rest of the party pass and, when Kiley walked past, took her position up. "How do you feel after all that, Kiley?" She was curious what being so permeated with energy would feel like.

mi'ia nods her head and and looks back at her new friend and puts up her paw again. she walked to her position and started on the trail of the grandmaster.
((ooc: i rolled a 5 for this))
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Pol nods to Kraln as he rearranges the order, and simply thought to himself. well....at least I can cover everyone from the middle....and I doubt he would give in to an argument, I mean, he did just give us a pretty solid reason for taking the point....I just hope that thing doesnt- As if cut off in mid thought, Pol's left eye twitches some and he shakes his head, during the walk, he seems to be off in his own little world.
-------- ((OOC: eheh....yea, well, I was tired and I kinda couldnt think of anything else, did you not see the OOC tear? ahem...anyway...on with the march!))
Kiley walks steadily behind Pol smiling and taking in everything around her. Everything is bright and hopeful about her, a complete opposite of yesterday. She quickens her pace and walks up along side of Pol.
"Pol?" she questions, "I wanted to ask you something."
Shaking his head and blinking, Pol looked over to Kiley, " huh? oh...um...you wanted to ask me something? well uh....go right ahead. " well then being in my head, we will have to talk a little later, it seems another wants my attention....so, perhaps we shall speak again when next our group sets up camp.
She smiles and looks ahead, part watching the path, part in thought. Her smile fades a bit as her words come together. "I've been thinking about the battle. I was wondering... I kow you weren't exactly you, so you don't know what happened. I sort of been able to... piece together... what happened, sort of, I think." She stops for a moment thinking of what she was trying to ask. "Deus said he had never seen anything like it before, and I know I have never experienced anything like it before. But maybe you, with your training and knowlegde will know what happened." She stops again, bringing together the words to describe the experience. "I still don't quite undestand everything, but I'm trying to. I remember seeing you fall and wanting to help you. I prayed to Willow and... everything changed... I felt different, then that thing came and you changed... I wanted it to go away... to leave everyone alone... I didn't want any one to get hurt... I felt this strange feeling and white enegry shot from my hand at the monster. I droped cuz i didn't understand what hapened, then I heard a woman's voice, she encouraged me, and I stood up and the white enegry came again. After that the monster fell." She stops again and goes quiet for a moment.
"That's all I've really been able to pull together so far. The voice, I think it was Willow. Have you ever heard of anything like that before?"
With a smirk, Pol replied, " nope." after a brief laugh Pol continued," I would assume that what happened to you was what I am going to call 'a moment of zen'. the way you describe it, it sounds like something inside you was triggered, a roiling blast of potential unleashed through faith and desperation. I would say that the power of that blast has always been inside you, as the power of my transformation has been....lurking inside of me, that these powers we have come across barely scratch the surface of what lies beneath us, waiting for training and discipline, or times of great need to unleash." Taking a breath, Pol seems distracted for a moment before looking back to Kiley, " now then, as for voices in my head...well, I have yet to have heard the voice of a woman in my head, and if you think it was willow, then indeed it is probably so, As for hearing about something like that?" after another brief chuckle, Pol continues, " well, I would say that the only times I have heard claims about such, are from crazy beggars on the street, or from people who are now considered 'saints'. so you've either gone insane, or your a saint, I would like to think saint."
She blushes slightly at his saint comment and thinks for a moment. Her voice becomes a little more serious and almost slightly scared. "Do you really think that we have even greater power than shown today? I mean what I saw in you and what I experienced myself was greater power than I ever imagined." She pauses for a moment. "To think of a greater power..." she trails off and sighs. "Pol, you seem to be... afraid... of your power. Or at least very weary of it, like it could be evil. You power seems greater than mine and if you are worried about yours, should I maybe be worried of mine." A look comes over her eyes as something clicks. "Could our powers be the things consuming us in our dreams?"
Looking back from his constant watch on the area around them, Deus smiled at the comment of the girl behind him. "I would not worry about it greatly, little one. If this is a power that has always been in you, then it should be the same as breathing. You may have troubles with it from time to time, but it is as natural as Mi'ia's claws or my scales..."
With a reassuring smile, Pol nodded, " yes, and I doubt that you lost control over your body when you let loose the blast...as near as I can tell, I have someone else in my mind with me, whereas you have a power within instead of a seperate entity.....um....anyway, perhaps you need to look at the dream in a different light, it may not be consuming you so much as it is trying to teach you something, every time you learn something, you change, even a barely perceptible amount. So perhaps instead of consuming, it is teaching and changing you." well I hope that was as reassuring as I meant it to be.... after clearing his throat, he continued, " as for being weary of my power....more of wary, unsure if it is yet good or bad....it has helped us yes, but helping and being good are seperate things..."
Kiley looks from Deus to Pol then smiles. "I suppose you're right. After all if that was Willow I heard, she wouldn't let loose something evil in me, right?" She smiles again. "Thank you both." She goes back to watching everything around her.
The party continues following the scent of Grandmaster Jaya until the sun sets. Kraln turns to the Supplicants. "I think we need to stop for the night. Only Lylith and Deus would be the only ones able to do anything once it is dark." Kraln turns back and looks to Ma'Ia. He jerked his thumb back to the center. "Everyone get settled in. Tia and I will take watch while you do."
Tia promptly stopped, turned and began to watch the rear of the pass until the rest of the group is set up. Once they are, she takes a moment to set up her own tent.
Once everyone was set, Tia sat down beside Lylith and picked up their conversation again. "So, friend, how is you pride?"
======== OOC: I am so glad I named Kraln. "Knight" just sucked out loud. >.<
mi'ia looked sad for a moment and said softly, "i am my pride. i am all that is left."
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
((way to one line! -RAWRS!- ......what? .....I feel pretty, oh so pretty, oh so pretty and giddy and (not-homosexually) gay! tra la la la.......oh right, I should make an in character part to this.....))
As they stopped to set up camp, Pol found a nice, clear spot and rolled out his bedroll setting up his bed with space enough on either side to easily accomodate anoyone else. This done he walked to where the others were and sat down. maybe if I make a joke I can get a conversation going...well, it's worth a try... " well, with this much silence you'd think someone had died."
at that comment mi'ia buries her head in her paws and quietly got up. she turned and walked into the dark away from where everyone was. as she was leaving a soft sob could be heard.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kiley watches as mi'ia leaves. "Pol," she looks at him. "I think that was the wrong thing to say." She then gets up and follows mi'ia into the darkness. Walking slowly she listens for the sound of Mi'ia crying to find her. "Miss Mi'ia?" she calls out softly.
Giving Pol a hard look, Deus sits down next to him. Looking him over, he opened himself to conversation. "What of you, sir? What is your story? You came bearing an impressive number of bandages; recent, were they?"
