Shaped like a crescent moon, the room at the end of the flight of stairs curved at one point. Bodies are strew about, mostly skeletons and rotting carcasses. The putrid air hits in a wave once the last step is cleared. The stained glass windows, though broken behind them, reveals to the Supplicants that the day isn't even half over yet. However, the veiw from the second floor is an exhilirating experience.
Every one of the Order is instantly drawn to another, blue robed woman, slumped against a wall. Neither undead nor truly living, her skin was pale and hair was matted with bone dust and blood. As they entered, the woman smiled weakly and gazed upon the Supplicants. "So good... to know you made..." she coughed and trembled weakly, "It here. Perhaps...." Suddenly, her voice was still and her mouth slackened.
Kraln, in panic, ran across the bodies and knelt beside the woman, "Minaret!" the Knight called out. Feeling quickly for a pulse, he sighed. Relieved, Massaed rose again. "This is two of the three Knights. Kiley, see if you can heal her. She's just unconscious. Deus, guard the forward door. Tia, cover the stairs. Pol and Lylith, search the room. There was a lot of fighting here. Perhaps we can uncover something that would explain why the Grandmaster is here." With his orders given, Kraln began to move bones away from the ground, uncovering the floor beneath.
Tia, her polearm over her shoulder, nodded silently and took up her post at the top of the stairs. Because of how they curved back, she could not see Freel from here, but she could hear his breathing.
OOC: Deus, Pol, and Lylith, roll Mind checks (stat or less on 2d6). I'll PM you with what happens next. Kiley, roll your magic-y thing. Woo~!
Coming up the stairs, Deus let out a short gasp at the bodies strewn about. Looking around, he noticed the open window, and shook his head. In a low voice, he murmured half to himself, "That prooves that the dead can walk in the day, too..."
Hearing Kraln's orders snap out into his thoughts, he came to attention, moving toward the door. Standing guard, he stood ready to prevent anything odd from coming through the door, his thoughts racing... --- I rolled a 12, which, suffice to say, is NOT under my Mind Stat. He's busy thinking of alot, I suppose...
Pol shudders and gags as the wave of nauseating aroma's hit him. He shakes his head and nods to Kraln, trying his best to keep concentrated and focused as he looks around the room. To others, he would appear to be standing absolutely still. For Pol however, it was much different. His vision managed to at least partially penetrate the majority of the debris surrounding him, and he began making a mental list of whatever he managed to spot that seemed out of the ordinary.
--------------- I rolled a 10.

Kiley rushes to the woman side and places her hands over the woman. She closes her eyes and again focuses everything she has on healing the woman. Praying to Willow, she asks to use her gift again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- I rolled a total of 5. I'm pretty sure that a pass.
Mi'ia gags as the smell of the room hits her. Nearlly falling backwords as it overpowers her nose. Making an invalintary hiss, she sugers forwords. Listening to Kraln as he gave out orders Mi'ia goes to all fours and satrat to search the room on her ands and feet pacing around and looking for anything to give her a clue as to what has happened here. She knows that her since of smell is not going to help her here so she doesn't even bother with it.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."

[Second Floor, Ruined Tower]
Minaret seemed to stir from the power Kiley moved into the weakened mage. Looking around, she spied the carnage of the room and her head spun. Minaret sighed, "The others?"
"We've saved Freel," Kraln replied, "The others are still missing. What were you doing in here?"
Nodding, Minaret responded, "We were looking for the spirit here. Jaya claimed that it called out to her, seeking to come back to Pantheon." Struggling to raise herself up, the Mage continued, "Once inside, we were waylaid here. Zombies, skeletons, a ghost... it seemed like the world of the Passed was revolting against us. I... I must have been knocked unconscious by one of them. I remember Freel being attacked and falling down the stairs. I should regroup with him and try to rescue the Grandmaster."
Kraln shook his head. "We're already rescuing her team. It only makes sense to continue with our mission, hm?" A smile broadened across his face as he helped Minaret to her feet.
"Alright, then, perhaps I should go join Freel at least and cover your escape route." She moved towards the stairwell, looking to go down. "I can tell you that the spirit is at the top of the tower. I don't know, however, what you'll find along the way.
Kraln nodded, "Thank you, Minaret. May Her gaze watch over you. Supplicants, we're moving out. Our target, as we've been told, is at the top of the tower. Same marching order as before. Keep your eyes wide. It seems the Passed have a greater hold here than we thought at first."
========= OOC: No one found anything, so we're going to move on. ^.^
"Wait!" Mi'ia shouted. "The ghost. Was it in the forest last night?" She asked. "I was in the forest with the grandmaster last night. We watched a spirit. I wanted to go to it. It wanted to join the pantheon. But the grandmaster sent me back to camp." She explained. "So is it the same one?"
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kiley thinks for a moment and then looks at Mi'ia. "Perhasp that is why Sir Freel lead me back to camp. To join the pantheon, doesn't that mean to die? This spirt maybe fooling people and leading them to their deaths. Maybe the Grandmaster is trying to stop it. Either way we have to hep her. Something is not right here. We have to get to the top of this tower." Her face shows great concern for the Grandmaster and her Knight. "Please, let's hurry."
"no to die means for the spirit to leave the body and the body decays. To die does not mean to join pantheon. Souls get lost. Souls get stuck." She looks back to the knight and waits for what the knight to say.

(Listening to the Conversation)
The Supplicant, with Oracillion still in hand, gathered with the others again. She looked to the rest of the party and uttered, "Well, I personally don't find any reason not join join Pantheon when I die. Of course, I hope I don't have to see them any time soon." She chuckled slightly, trying to break the serious mood a bit. She looked to Kraln, "I'm ready when you are."
Pol simply nodded to the others, thinking to himself but leaving these thoughts unvoiced. Pantheon? if something were luring people to the afterlife....could it perhaps be an emissary of fate? a specter of death that looms over all? If this is what we face, then we will most likely be driven away, or given a false sense of victory. I know it is not yet my time to die...though, there is always the chance that this being could be a malevolent force. sent to gather the souls of the living to feed the hunger of a Demonic Being....there could well be more possiblilities....but to know them would probably not help my decisions. I will have to protect the Grandmaster...so unless this being is truely sent by Pantheon to collect those whose time is to die, then my exorcisms should help.
As the group moved out through the doors and into the corridors, the tower became eerily still. The corridor, decorated periodically with holes and rubble, wound back around the building and into a wide opening, overlooking the vast forested canyon beyond. Beyond that rift, there were two doors, one to the left and one straight ahead. However, there was a smell permeating the atmosphere... the smell of rot and death.
Unsure of what to say, Deus remained quiet, watching the others. He knew little of the afterlife and how one might be denied access to the Pantheon, other then the fact that only the most tortured souls ended up as such. Shaking his head when he heard mention of a ghost, he suspected that his combat prowess would be useless against a foe such as this. However, he was certain he could take hits for the weaker members, if it came to it...
Moving up the stairs, he noticed a new instance of rot, wafting down for the room above. Seeing Mi'ia's reaction to the scents, he could not help but thank his ancestors that Arcozians had a comparatively weaker sense of smell. Smiling a little to himself, he came even with the upper floor and noticed the short hallway. Seeing the path split, he could not help but frown a little.
Stopping when he reached the first door to the left, he cautiously peeked in, leaning low and forward. Looking into the room, he tensed in preparation of jumping back, if needed...
Kiley stands back as they come to the fork. She covers her nose from the stentch and hopes it doesn't botther Miss Mi'ia or Deus too much. "Which way do we go?" she asks out loud hoping somebody senses something she can not. With her free and she draws her crystal hoping it can guide them sould all else fail. Oh great Willow, which way now? We must hurry to save your servant. Please help us.
Mi'ia krinkles her nose at the smell as in intruded on her nose. "Smells like home." she commented to the lizardman. She crouched low on all four as they came up to the door. Sniffing at the doors she sneezes a little. "Yep just like grandma's hut."She looked behind her at the leader of the expedition to see what they thought. "We need to go up. Which one goes up little cub?" she said as she spoke to Kiley.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kiley looks at Mi'ia timid with shyness and surprize. Her face then turns to determination as she nodds and takes her crystal in hand. She closes her eyes and extends her arm as she begins to focus. Willow. We need you're help to save your servant. Please help us. Let the spirts of the just and noble guide us. Show us which way to go. Please Willow I do this because I know this is the path you wish for me to follow. She takes a few steps forward closer to the fork and opens her eyes. "Which way is the Grand Master. Which way leads us to her?" She lets the crystal drop. The string pulls tight as it begins to sway. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sorry I think i was in a rush to post this so I forgot to roll. Here is is. And is sucks.
No sooner had the words issued from Kiley's mouth than the chain went taut, indicating the door ahead. Kraln took the clue and ran with it. Pointing his weapon through the hallway to the door forwards, the Knight stomped forward. "Then we go this way! Supplicants!"
Without hesitation, he threw the door wide open and proceded through it. Tia turned on her heels and watched the rear of the party, guarding against any number of horrific things that might happen. A sudden peal from the room caught her off guard. Spinning back around, her eyes went wide, "Kraln!" she cried. She watched as the others clamored through the doorway. After all, there was no sense in running her fellow Supplicants down.
OOC: This post assumes that everyone is moving through after Kraln when he screams out (yes, that's what 'peal' means).
