Big Brother has be contemplating the idea of a Battle Thread for when we get to that point, which would basically be a separate thread that we would use to coordinate just what is happening each round of combat. This would allow the main storyline thread to be relatively free of clunky combat actions and rolls, allowing for a much smoother flowing thread. More information will follow once we get to the first fight, but I thought I should just bring this up now so we might get some input on the matter.
Couple things I would like to know before we get to that point; does everyone know how to link to specific posts in a thread? Also, everyone knows how to link a url in a post, right?

Tutorial #1: Linking to specific posts. Ok, this is a pretty easy process. First, you click on the “Link to post” link on the bottom of the post you want. That will change your address bar at the top of the page to change to that posts specific link. Just copy and past the entire link whenever you need a specific post. Tutorial #2: Putting links into posts. When you want to post a link in a post of yours, there are two ways to do it. This first, you just post the whole link, like this: www.eunhathes.proboards30.comThe second way allows you to hide the link in other text. This allows you to do fun things in text, like incorporate the link into regular conversations. Here’s how to do it, though when you do it, get rid of the squares “”. They are just being used for this example. THE TEXT THAT YOU WISH TO HIDE THE LINK IN This will come out looking like this: THE TEXT THAT YOU WISH TO HIDE THE LINK IN

Ok. I went over this post like 12 times trying to figure out who Georgiana is refering too. My trouble starts with this partial line: "...she looked to the man in charge of this group, "Lieutenant,..." The statement refers to a Lieutenant. The only Lt. is Lt. Xi'ku Sop'tolome. It refers also refers to the 'man in charge'. The one in charge is Instructor / Commander Summer Anne Klecht. And finally there is a talk of 'the man'. The only other >man< in the game currently is Craig Pace so I'm confused.

Hmm... it seems that there might be a mentality you have about MA that people still segregate racially. This is not the case for George. A male person, be he catman or human, is a man, provided they are of age.
Also, there is the idiom 'the man in charge', which even in this modern day gets applied to men as equally as women.
However, her phrasing in her conversation directs the question to 'Lieutenant'. I had hoped that the little context clue would have been enough, but then again, Ant does have dumb fits every now and again. ^.^

Right. I think I understand and will reply accordingly.
It just seemed that you were refering to twenty different people in the same statement. [/dumbfit]

Reprimands abound. I fully expect that George shall recieve something terrible or something great. However, given that this is Ant and Arte running it, I expect to be shot for high treason or something dumb. I had to, though. She is quite passionate and will not tolerate ignorance.

Right.
Game posts with [stat or skill+stat or skill] are requests for rolls. In this first instance of [Awareness+Securities] you are required to add your Aware stat to your Securities skill then add 1d20.
The equation would look like this: (Aware+Securities+1d20)=roll result.
All checks require the d20 roll as part of the check. Any questions?

As you’ll notice in Antaeus’ last post, an Adrenaline Point (otherwise known as AP) was used. In case you were wondering, this post here (with a few possible pointers/ corrections by Ant) will tell you how to use them. AP’s main purpose (along with Edge in the Long Sword rule set) is to allow the characters to do things that the may not be able to do normally, due to stats, rolls, or rules. Using these, a player might attempt to detonate a rack of missiles on a mecha by shooting bullets at them, or cause an enemy to fall into a lava in a geologically unstable area, or maybe just block with their gun/sword/helmet/watch so that a lethal damage attack merely knocks them to 1 Hp. Basically, they are your tool to making the impossible possible, or perhaps making your own plot point. “How might I use one of these terrible useful AP?”, you might be wondering. Well, first you need to get in contact with Big Brother. As long as you game's BB isn’t being stubborn or a jerk, they will normally let you go for what you want. They might make a few suggestions or place some limitations, but they are YOUR AP, so your original idea should make it mostly through the BB talk. There are a couple of limitations, though. First, what you are planning must be cool, perhaps over-the-top so. Chances are the bigger and more stylized it is the great chance your BB will allow it. Second, your plans must be limited in scope to your current situation. While blowing away a hundred enemy Armors with a single sweep of your sword is cool in full scale, capitol ship to capitol ship slug fest, it is certainly not appropriate in a tense squad based combat. Third, you should remember that there ARE other people playing the game, both the other PC’s and BB(though you don’t have to be quite a nice with him *laugh*). Keep that in mind and try not to do anything that completely writes them out of the picture. Last, you shouldn’t try to use AP to simply increase one of your rolls (Short Sword AP, anyway. They work differently then the Long Sword ones…). While you can use AP to increase a d20 roll, chances are good that a situation where you would need to do that would be drastically enhanced by a little action-movie style thinking. Why hit the space station's hull even harder when you could find the engine block and destroy it in a single sword swipe?

A perfect textbook definition my fellow Brother.
Q: "After I use one, does it go away forever?" A: No. They come back when BB says they do. This is often before major story points or as a reward for good RP.
Q: "How do I use AP to increase my die roll?" A: Simply roll again with the dice roller and put AP somewhere with message. Add the two results together.
Using an AP to increase a roll may not have spectacular results like jumping through a hail of gunfire unarmed, but it does keep BB out of the loop. Increasing a number is the easiest way to succeed in a numbers based game.
Q: "How often can I use my AP?" A: Once per BB post please. We couldn't handle anymore then that. XD
Q: "Can I use an AP after some one else did in the same BB post?" A: Yes. It would require coordination but it is not out of the question for an entire scene to be conducted by just AP.
