With Jenene's question, Aboriam's worried expression melted once again. "Nothing's wrong so far, Jenene. But then, we haven't started the investigation yet."
The motion of an opening door from below-deck caught young Stormwatcher's attention.
"I see Lylie has already gotten the news. We still need to find Opal yet. And it strikes me that it may be a major undertaking... that is, unless she wishes to be found." His tone of voice was an subtle as his wink was to indicate his playful remark.
Aboriam proceded down into the holds of the ship to look for the remaining member of the party.

Jenene goes to look for Opal by the ship's bow, while she is muttering to herself, " I wonder what surprises await us in the capital?" After serching for about five minutes she returns to the party and waits for the return of Aboriam and Opal.

Amie thinks for a while. She had never really thought of how the Atani would appear to those who weren't familar with them. "Well, I always veiwed the Atani as a serious people with a love of all thing beautiful and rightous, but then again on first shight you might not believe that. Hmmmmm, oh my teacher once told me that people often confuse them to be dyrads or nymphs at first glance, I don't remember which one at th moment. I guess you could call them mysterious, or even mystical. Their lengends and lore says they were created to stop over use of magic. As far as our particular case with this Soltham. I had never heard of him. Though there are many stories of the Atani combating the destruction of the world, just never of these Soltham. Though the more I think of it there may be a reason for that. If the Atani could not destroy this god then abvoiusly he was very powerful and fear of him returning would mean keeping his very existence a secret."

(Below decks)
Looking up from where she had settled down for a short nap, she saw Oire looking down at her. Smiling a little, she pushed herself up from the soft roll of silk rope she had been resting in, shaking her head. "Sorry 'bout that. Must of drifted off..." She followed the other woman out of the low room, straightening her equipment as she went.
(In the room with the others) Opal waved as she stepped in, noting that the rocking of the ship had stopped, or at least slowed a lot from before. She waved at the others, leaning against the wall near the door. "Hope I did not keep the meeting wait'n too long..."

(Harriet Lonn)
Oire followed Opal back to the meeting area. Once there, the whole group seemed to be gathered and so he leaned back and let Aboriam have the show. Oire was an Orphan and a warrior first. His duty here was to help Aboriam get this team home safely. Perhaps they would become friends, perhaps some would die. The point was moot to Oire. These were his fellow Orphans, and he would not leave any of their lives to chance or fate. He looked to Aboriam. "This is everyone, I believe."

Jenene is standing next to Opal and waiting for the O.K. to get off the ship.

Aboriam stepped to the middle of the group with an unusual seriousness. The time had come for business, at last.
"We have finally arrived at our work," he started. "Let's spread out and look for anything and everything. But do NOT let anyone else wander more than a bow's shot from you. We don't know what happened and we may need each other already."
I will be tracking with Amie quickly behind me. Opal next, with Icos and Lylie. Jenene and Oire be rear guard and keep a sharp eye out while we travel. You'll have our backs."
The Shenachie turned his eyes to the tiny island as the group stood ready to enter it.
"Until we know what it is we are up against, dearest people, let caution be our watchword."
With that, the elf picked his pack up and headed to the gangplank, down it and to dry land with an inaudible sigh of relief. Though the trip had been uneventful, there was something comforting in a floor that didn't roll under each step.

Amie nodded with the instructions. She shouldered her pack and followed behind Aboriam bow at the ready.
"Meeka," she says to the little bird on her shoulder, "Fly up and see if there is anything interesting. Be safe though, ok? I don't want to lose my little buddy. I'd sleep in too often," she jokes a bit with the bird before giving it a quick tickle under the beak and sending it off.
Amie walks silently behind Aboriam, eyes and ears at full attention, a flight arrow ready in her bow.

Turning to Aboriam Jenene says " I shall do my very best as one of the rear guards." <bows> After this Jenene turns her attention to the island. Thinking to her self I wonder what beings good or evil, await us on the island?

(Up and off the ship)
As the group started off out of the room, Opal looked over the party. A sturdy group, to be sure... And none of them looked like they would take too many unnecessary risks. Still...
She called out in a clear, brisk, business tone. She tapped her pick in her hand as she spoke, driving her points home. "I want you all to keep and eye out for traps and other painful goodies while we are out here. While some of your warriors might think its cool to get scars, I'd rather not deal with that if we could avoid it."
There. That sounded like I meant it. And if not... She rested her pick on her shoulder as she affixed her shield on her other arm, her lips curving into a small frown. Still, why do they insist on wearing so little armor!?

lylie still pulling on her gloves and straping the wicked looking things so they would not budge, raises an eyebrow at opal. "i am no warrior. I am a trained bard with some... how would you say cat like fighting capabilities. I do not need to wear armor. it would impead my movablility and then i would be at more risk than if i had no armor at all." she closed her hand and opened it again with the gloves on. the gloves were metal tiped to a sharp point like that of the cat people's hands to the south. she took up her posistion.

Aboriam stepped off the boat onto dry land and began moving west along the beach. He looked for tracks, debris and other patterns in the area. Any items strewn on the beach would be able to tell a tale to the person who knows how to read it.
As he walked, he listened for the others of the party to follow.

Jenene waits until every member of the party is off the boat, then she steps off the ship on to the beach. Jenene says too her self " Finally we have arrived, now my question can be answered."

(Beached)
He listened to the instructions. However, he stopped in his tracks when he heard Icos' name. "M'sir!" He called to Aboriam, "Icos is back in Alezhannon. He's our Liaison to the merchants." He grinned and lowered his voice, "He handles our paperwork and expenses for us." He looked around and took in the head count. "How're ye going to rework the lines?"
========== OOC: Tis true. He leaves the party at the docks. >.<

Amie turns and looks at Oire. "Good sir, Icons told us he would be staying behind. I believe he said he would be handling any affairs for us there. I am sure our leader here said his name by mistake, keeping in mind all the members of our team, not just those present." She looks around the area. "There doesn't appear to be any merchants here, I don't think we'll have much paperwork. We should be fine with out him. I can keep a log if needed. But I do recall him saying that if we had questions to ask you." She smiles at him and turns her attention back to Aborian and watching his back.

Aboriam blinked owlishly.
"Too many blacksmiths strike once too much." The proverb rolled off the shenachie's tongue quickly. "The marching order stands only without Icos at the middle. We haven't as much physical skill in weapons as perhaps we'd like, but we make up for it in knowledge and magic. The current lineup seems best to utilize our strengths."
With a sheepishly embarassed grin, the Elfen man returned to scouring the ground. By the dwarvish beards of Milkharen Province, my verbal steps have to be more carefully placed.

(Walking the Beach)
Oire looked all over the beach he was covering. The forest to the inwards side of the isle made a good windbreak. The cool winds that blew northward reminded him of the hallowed prescence of those who gave their lives here for the good of Atrica. He nodded solemnly and continued his searching.
Suddenly, there is a rustle from the foliage. Something is growling in the underbrush. "Oi!" Oire sounded very desperate, "There's something over here, mates!"

(Leaving the Harriet Lonn)
Opal looked up from her shield, flashing Lylie a bright smile. A girl with spunk, eh? "While I am sure you will be able to 'andle yourself, I would simply like to dodge these things if we can. I rather dislike surgery, myself. Messy business..."
Following the rest of the party out, she smiled a little as she came into the warm sunlight. Spreading her arms wide, Opal could not help but call out in a low, happy voice. "Ah... nice, hard earth... No rolling floor here..."
Hearing Oire's voice, however, snapped her back to reality. Lifting her shield, the dwarven woman pulled her pick behind her, ready to strike. She had caught charges on her shield before; she knew what to expect if this turned violent...

With catlike reflexes and deft motion, the shenachie's bow was drawn, knocked and aimed with a speed that was nearly impossible to see.
Once looking down the shaft of his arrow, Aboriam spoke softly. "Flush it out, Oire. I'm ready."
The son of the Stormwatcher family prepared himself for anything that might be coming. Friend OR enemy.
