Amie ssteps forward and looks closely at the banner. "Hmmm." she ponders it for a moment. "Most interesting. I haven't studied orcs much but from what I've gathered, they are barbaric people who mostly make war over territories, precious items, or revenge. This god calls for a higher purpose, although brutal. I may be wrong but that doesn't seem like orcs to me. Very curious." She smiles and stands straight up at attention to Mahri, "Madame Greentree, I look forward to this mission and any knowledge I can gain on it."

(Mahri's tent)
Opal pondered the information given, mulling over the story. "So, we go in, and search for this other team, and find out what happened to them... And the orcs..." Her face narrowed in slight confusion, as she picked through the situation.
"Now.... why would a god need a tomb, I wonder...?"

(Considers each question in turn)
Mahri turned to Lylie. "Melodie Lenne would be the person you know the best. Also, there were Archimedies Zharcov, Ariala, Dalci Lambrose, and Reiya Solaris. You were asked here because of how close you and Melodie are. Not to mention that this will reunite parents and children."
Looking to Aboriam, she continued. "The Team was searching for clues as to the whereabouts of Soltham. If we could locate him, perhaps we could avert a catastrophe. We have several sites near New Hellgon that North Hellrai considered important enough to look into. The one we sent them to was the Capital City Ruins. We deposited them on the northmost islan and they were scheduled for four day pickup. However..." She bobbed her head in a way that made everyone understand that these people were all likely dead. "We must know for sure what has happened to our fellow Orphans."
She locked her gaze on Jenene. "Capital City was the center of Atrican civilization before the Invasion. Even during the war, the people in the city were amongst the bravest people on our continent. They stared down the flying city of Cleos to make sure that the Gate to Elisthran was sealed. Many people died there and the city was erased, almost literally, from the maps." She hung her head in somber reverence. "It was the quietest spot we could have sent them."
The elven woman stepped gracefully towards Amie. "It is true that the orcs do tend to infight. However, the evidence we have uncovered is that a priest of Soltham was using the army as a ruse to gather power. If successful, he could have overrun New Hellgon, what with military might down since the Invasion." There is an odd noise, as if someone clearing their throat loudly. Quite suddenly, Mahri stops and looks around. "Are there any more questions?"

Amie looks up from the banner once more. "Just one," she says as seriois as her playful and curious nature alows her. "How soon can we start." a strange smile curls on her face, one of determination and confindence.

(Her home)
The elf looked from one woman to the other as they spoke to her. "I understand. I have already made arrangements with Shailey Ludhinharrow. The children you tend to will be taken care of by her. I will grant you all tomorrow to tie up your affairs. The day after, you will depart for the Capital City ruins." She grimaced slightly, "There is supposed to be another member, an expert of sorts on deities. It seems, however, that she has not yet made it here. I hope nothing too terrible has happened to her."
She looked around the room. "Now, there is one thing left to do. Each team, as you all well know, must have organization and roles. If you see a reason to refuse these positions, speak up and let me know." She looked determined and young again, almost as if gearing up for her first adventure away from home. "Aboriam Stormwatcher, you will be this team's Leader. It is your duty, obligation, and mission to get them home safe and sound." She turned to the dwarven woman. "Opal Deeplamp, you will be the team's Consul. As the second in command, you are charged with keeping the peace in the team." Finally, she looked at the halfling. "Icos Urikode, you will be the team's Liaison. You are their quartermaster, supplier, and paperwork dispenser. A role that I personally know you have expertise in."
She looked around the room again, "The other five of you will be adding your particular fields of expertise to the team. I assume that there will be more questions. Please ask."

(Mahri Greentree's home)
A wrinkle of confusion knitted across Aboriam's light brow. He laid his head from side to side in thought. The elf opened his mouth as if to speak, then closed it. Finally, the thoughts he had been struggling with came out at once.
"This supposed diety," The Shenachie started haltingly, "You say that he has a ...a tomb? Aren't gods supposed be immortal? If he isn't, then is this thing not a god? If he isn't, maybe we should stop referring to him that way, shouldn't we?"

Amie looks up from the flag. "From what I've learned it is mearly very difficult to kill a god. Immortal means that they do not die of old age, but there are many stories where gods have killed other gods." She smiles at him and bows to Mahri Greentree and then the other elders in the room. "If you do not mind, I will take my leave now. Prehasp I can find something to help us among the old books and scrolls." She smiles at Mahri waiting for approval to leave.

(Emerging from deep shadows)
In a singular instant another female elf, with wisps of midnight for hair and brightened ice for eyes, appeared as if from no where. She wore a bright and well kept shirt of chain mail, much as a warrior would. Yet she walked with a staff at her side. "It is curious that you should ask, Aboriam. It seems that the Atani who imprisoned our subject "god" found it most appropriate to seal him in a tomb. They were unable to kill him, and so did the next best thing." She looked the elf in his eyes, "They dismembered his body and put him to sleep in seven seperate tombs. These tombs are more bed chambers and less graves." She extended her hand to the Shenachie. "Magen O'Gar, at your service, friend elf."

Aboriam took the feminine hand with a mix of suspicion and courtesy. He smiled with the full effect of his handsome visage.
"Magen, it is a pleasure and an honor." The words flowed with ease because they were sincere. "If I may ask another question about this purported 'god', what realm did it have jurisdiction over? What powers did it control?"

Amie turns on her heel suddenly to face Magen. "Wait a moment," she says suddenly. "You say the Atani imprisoned him?" Her ears twich slightly as curiousity swells in her. "Where did you discover this. Was it written in a scroll? Where can I find this information? Maybe I can discover more." Her eyes twinkle with exicitment. She enjoyed studying any information she could find her friends the Atani. She knew what the were capible of and was proud to have been taken into their fold. She wondered if Lorn knew anything of this god and his imprisonment.

(Mahri's House)
"Actually, we don't know what realm he had sway over. We assume some aspect of destruction." She turned and walked over to Amie. "Honestly, I had to do a lot of digging. I am compiling all the information in a book. It should be done shortly. I'll make sure you get a copy."
In a brief flash, Mahri stepped forward and said in a loud voice, "All right, everyone. That's enough for now. You're all free to go about your business. I'll see you down at the pier after tomorrow."

Amie's ears twitch again. "Madame Magen, would it be possible for me to help you in your research. I was raised by the Atani. I know them, their langage, and their text well. Even their ancient texts I have studied. I my be able to assist you."

Aboriam stands, nods and speaks. "Until tomorrow." The suave courtesy came through his voice with honesty. He walked through the door he had entered the home and disappeared into his beloved home forest.

(Mahri's tent)
Opal snapped to, smiling a little shyly. She had been lost in thought, thinking about the best way to go about keeping her people alive and well through this whole affair. Nodding deeply to Mahri, she smiled, silently giving her assurance that she would do her best in her assigned role. It was one she was familier with...
Her thoughts mulling to the few thoughts she had of her family, she drifted out of the tent, paying little attention the area around her.

The elder woman looked at the younger, ambitious elf. "Yes, I would like that indeed. But not tonight. There is still much to do and little time to do it in. Get yourself some rest." Magen finished and extended her hand to Amie. "It would be a pleasure to add your name to the work."
Once most everyone had cleared out, Magen sighed and prepared to recieve a tongue-lashing from Mahri. There was still no stopping a Greentree on a rampage. Magen could only hope the curtain of night around the house and her good friend could hold the tongue of his sister.
