Sweat beaded on Aboriam's Elven brow. Should we really split the party? he thought to himself. The pros and cons went quickly through his head like a tidal wave speeding through caves in the cliffside.
Finally, the words left his lips, though regret filled the head of the Son of Stormwatcher. "Yes, go ahead. Let us know what is in there right away."
Aboriam took comfort in the fact the other party had taken on the monsters here to this point. He whispered in his own mind how he hoped that pattern continued.

Amie nodded and steped up to Opal's side. "I know a few spells highly useful in combat. I hope we won't need them." She readied her bow and notched an arrow. "I follow your lead Miss Opal." she smiled at her commrade, ears twitching slightly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ooc: just one question real quick, how many spells a day do I get.

(Into the dark room)
Nodding to Aboriam, Opal smile up at the man. "Donna worry; we'll be back inna moment, right as night." Turning to Amie, Opal gestured to the half-elf to stay behind her.
"I'ma suppose to keep you alive, so I'll stay in front, `k? Ready?" Looking one last time to make sure her companion was ready, she moved forward into the dark, one hand ready to draw her pick, the gripping her shield on the ready.
Thinking to her self, she strained her ears, hoping the two of them were not walking into a trap. Alright, where to look...

Jenene continued to lean on her Staff waiting for the return of Opal and Amie. While she was waiting she thought I hope we can go into that room soon, I go anxious to see what is in there. She continued to wait for the return of her friends.

Amie gives a quick nod to the others. "Close the door behind us, but just in case dont let it latch." She smiles and makes sure her pack is square on her shoulders. Meeka stay there, its safest for now. She follows behind Opal with an arrow notched and ready. She lets her eyes adjust to the darkness as the door slowly closes behind her. Her ears twitch as she listens to make sure there is no click of the lacth.

Aboriam stepped forward, arrow knocked and drawn, to let the door slowly come to rest on his foot. If he heard noise of battle, he could kick and attack quickly. Until then, the Amie and Opal could benefit from the darkness.
He took a deep, silent breath and eased it quietly out again.

Lylie looked nervous as the two walked into the dark room. She didn't like the two going in there on their own. Not that she didn't trust them, she just didn't trust what was in the room. What ever had happened to the other people could be in that room. She figdited with her gloves as she held her breath waiting for some sign that they where ok or that they were not. The waiting was the worst part for her.

Amie ears twitch madly as she hears the on coming sound.Crap! What is that? "Opal can you see what's making that noise." she whispers loudly. She pulls the string on her bow tight hoping to catch sight of the noise before it is apon them. "Say the word Opal and I'll caste light."

[In The Room]
Jenene finally stopped leaning on her Staff and approached Aboriam. She stood beside him also listening for any sounds of battle in the next room. She had her magic ready, as well as her Staff. Aboriam is the lucky one with the Elf ears and all. So if there is a battle, he would be the first to know about it. she continued to wait and listen.

Within the murky depths of the room, the elf and the dwarf could feel the currents rushing by them as whatever moved about inside passed them. Though able to see the columns in the room, there was still nothing that could explain what was moving....
Outside, Oire remained standing, his weapons in hand. He had his skepticism about staying outside while his teammates entered without protection, but Aboriam knew what he was doing.

Jenene continued to wait, growing sightly inpatient now. Her staff remained at the ready, her spells were on standby, she was ready for a fight. Well, I think I am ready enough now. She didn't speak so as not to interfere with Aboriam's hearing.

(the dark room)
Squinting in the darkness, Opal shook her head, unable to make out what was moving. Something was there; that much she was certain of. But just what, exactly, she couldn't tell...
Putting her shield up toward the last time she could place the movement, she growled out to the woman behind her. "`kay now, missy. Go for the light, just don't getcha self blinded; it might strike then..."
Pick held firmly in one hand, shield in the other, and Entangle spell planted firmly in mind, she stood ready. With a warning on her lips to call out to the others should something go quickly wrong, she stood firm and waited... ----------------------- Sorry about the time, here!

(A Dark Room is No Place for Ladies)
The veil of shadows left the room in a sudden hurry, retreating behind the globe of light suddenly burst into the room. Drawn back and tensed stands a woman with tattered garments on. A dark teal colored cloak hangs over her brow, concealing her eyes and nose. The boots she wears are travelled and old, bearing a woodland motif unfamiliar to the two other women. What can be seen of her hair is fair, almost the color of platinum coins, and her bared skin is sickly, almost grey. It seems most assured that she has not seen the light of day in long months, maybe years. Her hand spreads rapidly as the elven woman cast the first spell into her mind, "Sheed'haati'iri!" her velveteen voice explodes on the silent room, and a slow, leaking fog issues from her palm.
OOC: Celest, no need for a roll on Light. We really need a good bandwidth though so you can read the PHB. >.< Sorry, that's my fault. However, artemi and celest, you should make some saving throws. Uh, Versus Spell. Umm... 1d20. Arte; you need 15+. Celest; you need 12+.
Everyone else, you can hear the word get shouted. ^.^ Bust in at your convenience, but remember to roll 1d10 for initiative. You want high.

"Aw damn." Amie says as the woman castes her spell. Instincivly she dives to the right. She rolls and stops on her knees. She notches her arrow and focuses on the strange elven woman. Her mind races as she tries to figure out what spell the woman caste. Hoping for some small advantage. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I rolled a 5. Failure I'm sure. However I do have a long list of languages so is it possible I understood what she said?

Swearing in her native tongue, Opal instinctively brought her shield up in front of her. Seeing Amie roll to the side from the corner of her eye, she took a few large sidesteps to the side, trying to keep between her and the other strange woman. Noting the strange fog slowly filling the room, Opal pulled in a deep breath and yelled out over her shoulder toward the doorway.
“Possible trouble; she’s casting somethin’!” --- Ok, I somewhat forget how to read my sheet, and my information is all still locked away on a re-formatting computer. Opal has a 15 in Spell Save, with two extra bonuses; +4 from her racial bonuses, and a +2 from her Wisdom. I seem to have rolled a 9; if everything adds up like I think it does, I should tie the DC 15, where (I think) defense wins.

[In The Room]
Without waiting for Aboriam's approval Jenene charged into the room and saw a woman in tattered garments chanting. "Like hell your casting another spell!" Jenene cast Magic Missile in the woman's direction.
(OOC:)I rolled a 7 on inititive. If I go first, I rolled 6 points of damage.

Lylie walks into the room and hollers out "Get down." She puts her hands up in front of herself and starts to perform a spell. It was one that she was very familiar with. She performed it for the children on a regular bases, but had not forgotten her training with it from the temple. It could be devastating for those who could see. As the color spread out from her outspread hands she grinned slightly. She gave warning as to what she was doing and anyone that got in the way was warned.
((ooc: I rolled a 9 for initiative))

The door gave way before the booted elven foot struck it. Two humans stepped in the way of his arrow, long since ready to fly. Frustrated, a curse slipped from his mouth.
"Chimrah bakh ngatholi, Sheeshtoo. Mragna-blatha. CHIMRAH..." Aboriam shouted. In the stress of anticipated battle, he reverted to the most natural speech, his own elvish dialect.
The Son of Stormwatcher swayed slightly, looking for an opportunity to fire. His usually smiling face had contorted into the image of concentration, searching for an arc through which to fire.
------------
OOC: I made up the words, but Aboriam basically shouts, "Get out of the doorway, you superlative idiot! (severe cursing) MOVE!" for those characters who speak Elven.
