[The statue room]
Looking around the room carefully, Opal's eye caught on the blood laying on part of the pulverized statue. Walking over carefully, she looked over the area, trying to puzzle out what had happened to the thing. Squatting down, she called back over her shoulder. "I donna think this is the statue's blood... And there be no monster bodies... did the last team fight the statue, maybe?"
Opal looks around, trying to figure out if any of the peices have blade marking on the edges.

Amie again walks slowly around the room, taking care to look over everything. She stops at the pedstool, looking carefully at the pillow again, trying to gather what was being collected from the pillows and why.

"I donna think this is the statue's blood... And there be no monster bodies... did the last team fight the statue, maybe?"
The thought that went through Aboriam's head was one that utterly embarrassed him. It seemed so simple that it hadn't crossed mind before.
"Of course. A Living Statue of some sort was the guardian for the treasure on the pillows. The party fought it..." Aboriam looked at the crumbled ruins of the statue again. "Or them... and continued on."
The Son of Stormwatcher frowned and looked at the amount of blood spilled. "I hope the priest with them was a powerful one."

"I do now know if the preist was strong or not but I do know that the Halfing with them was very...." She though for a moment and then stated "intelligent when fighting." She looked around the room for a moment longer and then said, "they are not in here so why don't we do and look for them in another room?"

[In the Room]
Jenene continued to wonder if the party was captured in this room. She wandered around the room while she thought to herself These arrows are an obvious sign of a conflict in this room, the question is, who won the battle if there was more then just this statue to fight, if the statue was alive. She then waited for more instructions from Aboriam.

To the DM: Are there any doors or archways besides the one we just walked through?

[In The Room]
Jenene continued to walk around the room. While she was walking she thought I wonder what happened to the missing party, I hope we can find some clues in this cave. She stopped pacing and waiting for further orders from Aboriam.

(Statue Room, Ruins)
((OOC: Sorry for the delay. Hopefully, we haven't died out. >.< Aboriam: Nope. One door in. That's all here. Opal: Yes. Multiple blade marks. Someone obviously swung at this statue. Amie: It seems to be a decent sized orb or sphere. It's obvious that it was here longer than it was on the other pedestal.))
The mortal rose from his perch on the floor. His investigation had turned up nothing further. "Looks te me like its regular old stone. But stones don't move. Not on their own, leastwise." He turned to Aboriam. "I ken what Lylie said. We should be movin' along, I think."

Aboriam seached the walls. He looked for any sign of unnatural creases in the stone. His fingers stretched over the rock face without success. He cocked his head slightly in thought.
"Was there another door that we haven't checked yet? Or were there only one way in and one way out? Are we missing something? If the others came this way, where did they disappear to?" the Elf's questions seemed to hang in the air, waiting patiently and allowing the others to remember.

Lylie looked around and said, "Well the there were other doors. maybe the went into another one of them. If I remember they all were open. Maybe they ran into trouble in another room." She looked a little worried. "melodie was always touching things that she shouldn't have been touching. I hope thats not the case here. If she was in charge...." she ended with shaking her head.

Amie glances around the room one more time. "There are more than a few ways to bring the inanimate to life, though with the anciant feel of the magic in this place, I would think it difficult for a trap to do so to work properly." She walks around taking a closer look at the statues. "But maybe thats why only one statue is completely dystroyed. I have a feeling that removing the orb that was here activated the trap, so we should be safe, however it is a good idea to move on, and seeing as we reached a dead end it looks like we should head back to the first room and choose another door." She moves back to the door they came through and waited for the others.

[In The Room]
"I agree with Lylie, they may very well have ran into trouble in a different room." Jenene continued to wait next to the door that the party had pasted though to get into this strange room. While she was waiting, she thought I wonder which room they met their trouble, if they met any. We will probably find it on our wandering though this strange place. She then leaned against the wall and continued waiting for the party to continue their search and rescue mission.

The elf looked at the five members of the Orphans who accompanied him. Aboriam had made some mistakes along the way, but he was certain that they could handle whatever happened along the route.
"OK, everyone." Aboriam said in the same soft voice he had used since entering the cave of rooms. "Let's head back to the room before this one. There are four other doors there and all were open, if I recall. The plan is to take the inside right-hand door. We'll keep those who see in the dark seperated from those who don't."
He looked quickly at the room one more time. If he had missed something, it would have to wait for another group of explorers. The Son of Stormwatcher stepped back into the previous room, still listening for the others to follow.

[In The Room, Going Back To The Previous One]
Jenene turned and followed Aboriam out of the room. She thought as she exited the room I wonder what happed in this room, hopefully, the missing party is in good condition. Finding Roy is a sign that the party is still alive, but where are they. She stopped when Aboriam stopped and then waited for instructions.

[Back the way they came]
Smirking a little to herself, Opal took the lead, carefully heading toward the other room. Holding her pick carefully, she looked around the outside edge of the doorway. Looking back at the others, she called back to them. "I'll go first. If you hear nothin' odd, come in. You'll hear me if somemin goes wrong..."
Slipping into the room, Opal tried not to be too loud. Looking around the dark space, she fixed her veiw to her infravision, taking it all in...

Aboriam's arrow remained on the bowstring. One step in, one shot... just in case. His elven ears strained for the sounds of the next room with the dwarvish priestess. Deep in his stomach came the doubt for the wisdom of sending the party's only healer into an unknown room... alone.

(Description) Oire follows the party in the same position he was put into. Suddenly, their Dwarf disappeared into a new room. This made Maldannon uncomfortable, however the rest of the group seemed equally on edge. Oire placed himself in a position where he could easily defend the rear of the party. Now, all there was to do was wait for Opal...
(The room inside) Opal could see in this darkness that this was an odd room. It held bizzare pillars which seemed to cast about the minimal light emanating from the door she had crossed. Nothing seemed to be in here, not living anyway...

[In The Room with Aboriam And Oire]
Jenene watched Opal disappear into the next room. She leaned on her Staff and waited for Opal to emerge from the room. While she waited, she thought I wonder what Opal is seeing at this moment, a door, more blood, or, a fight waiting to happen. We will never know until Opal says it is okay. She continued to lean on her Staff and wait for Opal's return.

[the darkend room]
Narrowing her eyes, Opal looked around closer, unable to figure out what was going on. Everything looked... much more difficult to see then it should. Frowning, she turned and stepped back, poking her head out the door. Seeing the others, she called out to them in a low voice.
"I think somin is wrong, here. This room is... weird. I canna see very well with either my dark or light sight. I think I need more light or ta close the door and get less light. Ideas?"

Amie steps forward. "Let me go in with you, Opal. I can see as well in the dark as I can in light and if needed I have a light spell at the ready. Plus I can watch your back." She looks at Aboriam. "What do you say, sir?"
