Kim closed Shu-qi and put his father's credit card away. He had just ordered a bouquet of white lilies to be sent to Mami's dorm room. The occasion was simply that there was not a moment that went by that Kim wasn't thinking of her. This had its share of issues however, as Kim was technically still Ethics Director at a Council meeting and almost missed his que to end the meeting. It had ended quite suddenly, probably because of Naoko needing to fix her hair.
It was his job for the first month of school to hand out additional, embarrassingly mundane duties to the rest of the council in an effort to 'nurture responsibility' in the council. Keeping with the new sense of urgency in the room, Kim read off the member assignments one by one humidly, stopping at Naoko. The girl had been acting strangely lately and looked like she needed some fresh air.
"Oujou-sama, your duty has Omoshiroi written all over it. You and I will choose a student and ensure that their experience at our fine institution is concurrent with school policy." said Kim barely suppressing a grin. He had become aware of this pseudo-tradition upon receiving his post. In short, the Ethics Director chose two people to skip the rest of the day by supporting the local town's shops. He only hoped that Naoko was in a mental state to pick up on her que.

Blinking the other, mysterious girl from her mind, Naoko flipped her hair as she was coming out of her thoughts. She knew her mind had been drifting, and was secretly glad Kim had mentioned the idea. Smiling over the auditorium, she wished the other students a good rest of the day. Turning to her two best friends, she smiled at the other two girls and leaned in close. “Mami, I'm going to need you to get a survey out to the students, and get an idea of what people are thinking here at the start of the year. Asako..” She trailed off, deciding on how to best use her people. That was one of the marks of a good leader, after all, or so her father said.
“I'm gonna need you to spend some time casting about, trying to figure out who's planning on running against me later this election. We don't need anything definite yet, but I don't want any surprises, either...” Leaning back, she gathered her papers together and slipped them in her stylish attaché case her mother had gotten her last she was in Paris.
“As for Kim and myself...” she turned to him, watching a moment as he finished putting that laptop of his away. “We shall do a bit of digging in the year books; I need to look something up.” Standing, she slid the seat back gently under the table. Grabbing her attaché, she gestured towards the door. “Come, we shall swing by the records office before we head out for your inspection. Au revoir, girls.”
