Grandmaster Jaya looked out to the handful of Supplicants, smiling with gratitude and appreciation. Beside her stood the Knights who had accompanied her through the Tower of Sero. The haphazard group of Supplicants assembled before her were ragtag and myriad, but she was glad they had been in the right place at the right time. Without them, Jaya's mission against the rogue spirit would have most assuredly failed.
The Grandmaster opened her mouth and spoke. "Supplicants, you have proven yourself loyal and beloved of Her gracefulness, the Willow of the Grove. Today, I am pleased to commemorate your Ascendancy into a your new roles in the Order of the Twelve Willows. Congratulations are in order, and a welcome. You've all done well."
That was a month ago, while you were still in the Sacred Copse. It was six weeks since you'd left that Pantheon forsaken tower. Th trauma of that catastrophic fight still weighed heavy in your mind. Right now, your mind is elsewhere. You had received orders to arrive at Murose's Bend in Calara for a dispatch. With your Title training finished, your pride is worn like a robe of fine silk. Walking along, you can see a varied number of Order Titled. It seems that there is more to this dispatch than meets the eyes. You would wonder about it, but you spy a rather familiar face in the crowd...
OOC: Alright, I'm going to point you to the Reference Post for Classes. I would like each player to choose one of the three Titles (Warrior, Scholar, Itinerant) and update your profile accordingly. You've been getting some intensive training in your Title, and are now arriving at Murose's Bend. If you have questions, or need help, drop me a line. I'll be glad to help.
As for who you spot, this is my only warning to everyone. If you post in this thread in character, you'll remain on the list of active characters. I'd like to have you all here, so please post.

Pol looked around the area like no other supplicant. He simply stood still, and allowed his mind to take in the surroundings. Crowds suck. They always wind up restricting my sight. I'll be happy when we're all on the road to do whatever it is we're off to do. Still...what could be going on that they would need an exorcist? If it was just one or two spirits there wouldn't be this many people. I could probably manage one or two on my own even. Oh well, I suppose the point of being here is to find out what's going on....though it would be a prime time for evil forces to attack. Surround us and rain balls of fire or a hail of arrows. Man I don't crowds....
Pol was still dressed in his wrappings, but now he seemed more gaunt. As if the time he's been spending delving through books has left him weaker than he used to be. He now wore a robe over his outfit. Like all his clothing it was baggy, but unlike his clothing it was red.
Pushing his way through the crowd with the ease of someone used to hectic battles, Deus watched the reactions everyone was having with this gathering. Something was up, that much the crowd knew, but no one seemed to have any idea what it was.
Easing his pack on his back, the Arcozian looked over the heads of most of the crowd, his size giving him a slightly better vantage point. Seeing a familier sight, Deus pushed his way through, stopped just to the right of Pol. Looking down at the man, he shaded his eyes with a hand, recently covered in a thin line of scars. Training had been difficult, but rewarding at the same time. The first step of his long journey was complete.
He called out to the bandaged man. "Fancy seeing you here, Pol. Have you seen any of the others yet? Or are we the only ones who completed our training thus far...?"
Turning to face Deus, Pol replied, " I'm not really sure. I the crowd is too thick for me to see though. My training has shown me how to control fire...to a degree. How are the fruits of your labor?"
At least Deus is here. I know I can count on him if things go sour. What about the others though? They might be on other assignments at the moment. Or their training may yet be incomplete. It would be comforting to know though. I really don't like crowds...
Kiley had been walking a bit slow for most of the trip. She had her eyes open for friends, one in particular. She was begining to think that she was alone among the mass of new people. She supposed it would be a good opportuniy to make new friends but, still, she was nervous. Her training had helped her overcome some of her internal issues. She was showing slightly better control of the powers she discover no more than six weeks ago, the powers that had helped her and her friends in the tower. She shivered at the few memories she had of the tower. Perhasp it was her age, perhasp it was her self-issues, she didn't know, either way she had trouble recalling much about the battle. Things came quickly and then left, usually in nightmares.
Walking along she caught the sight of some one familar. She was sure it was Deus. Thank Willow for a familar face as she broke into a run, dogding through the crowd to get closer she was about to call out his name when her heart jumped. Walking along side of Deus was...
"POL!" she shouted out loud unable to control her excitement.
Kiley snapped Pol out of his thoughts, and he turned around to face her. It took him a few moments to recognize her voice, but he smiled under his wraps as he looked to her. " It's good to 'see' you again Kiley. How have things been for you? "
hmmm. looks like three of the group is here. I'm guessing we'll all meet up sooner or later then. That's good. At least then if this is a trap we'll face a good chance of survival. Still...I hate crowds.
Mi'ia walked up next to the arcosion. "So then what is a nice lizard like you doing in a crowded place like this." Smiling up at the lizardman, with a new bolt tat on her temple. "So then this is all thats here so far huh?" looking around she saw the other two standing there.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Deus streched his arms, covered as they were in a thin web of scars that ducked under his cloak. He felt stronger, and more in control of himself, that much was certain. "Training was good. I'm feeling stronger, and perhaps bit more agile."
He flashed a toothy grin at the two new arrivals. "I'm afraid I'm not really built for magic, though. Couldn't quite wrap my head around the stuff."
Spotting Mi'ia's new tattoo, he cocked his head to the side, looking at it. "Come here often?" Smiling, he nodded to the new tattoo. "That... wasn't there before, was it? Part of your training?"
Kiley smiled, her spirits lifted by seeing her friends. "I can't remember last I was so happy. Training has gone well so far, I have better control of "my gift", though all of my teachers have said they've never seen anything quite like it before. One was pretty sure he read about something like it though." She pauses for a moment smiling at the first people she could call her friends. "I think I've finnaly found my path."
"I'm really glad to all of you here. How have things gone for you?" she asks. A look of puzzlement comes over here as she thinks for a second. "Has any one seen Miss Tia?"
Pol shrugs and replies, " maybe she was eaten by a giant fish while trying to catch something with that spear thing she has. It's good to hear that you've found your path. Does anyone know why so many are gathered here?"
I really hate crowds...at least I know the lot of us will be fine though. We can cover each other if a group of evil forces decides this is a good time to sneak attack the gathering...wait...if someone attacks the gathering...I might..transform again. That won't be good...He doesn't care about friends and foes...
Shoving his golden locks out of his view, the Grandmaster smiled. Riolann Nod was pleased at this turnout. It seemed the others in the Counsel had agreed with him, sending their most promising Believers to him for this. One thing that impressed him the most was the presence of the Arcozian. He had heard a rumor that another Gras'Vahn had Supplicated, but he didn't actually think the Clansman would make an appearance here. Certainly, Aerolith had wanted his skills for the Dragontribes Campaign?
It didn't matter now. Nod had his group assembled. He looked to his assistant, a rather youthful looking Eosian woman. She had a battered look about her that bespoke the terrors of her species training methods. However, she was a rarity, a prize to be had indeed. Not only had she survived the School of Dir'Regahth and it's abusiveness, but she was also a Double Breed; A female who could follow in a male's footsteps. "Come, Myska. We have an expedition to speak to."
The towheaded Grandmaster climbed to top of the scaffold, a mere three heads above the ground. Clearing his throat, he gathered his voice. "Attention, assembled Order." Only the nearest Believers turned. Obviously, he'd have to shout louder. "YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE!!" Some heads turned, but the din of the assembled group continued to murmur loudly.
Riolann breathed in to shout again, when a shrill whistle blew. Turning to his left, Myska removed her fingers from her mouth and smiled at Nod. For a moment, he could appreciate her tact. His attention turned back to the crowd, whose undivided attention he had now. Speaking loudly, he began his discourse. "Gathered Order, welcome to Murose's Bend. Many of you may be wondering why you've been summoned here. Truth is, the Order has made a rather startling discovery: A lost city from the Age of Dreams. As you all may be aware, the Order's dedication to preserving points of scholarly interest is utmost among our policies." He crossed his hands behind his back. "We are proceeding a day's march east of here, where we will meet with the Scholars already working on the find. Once there, we will receive more information."
He paused to let the news sink in before continuing, "You're free to do anything else you may want to for tonight. Tomorrow, at dawn, we march." With his orders given, he turned and left the scaffolding behind with Myska in tow behind him.
OOC: Sorry about the delay, guys. Move and whatnot. Anyways, it's mid-afternoon, so you could likely hit shops, interact, go to bed, do whatever... let me know if you want to do something out of the ordinary.
Senses a little dulled from standing in the hot sunlight, Deus snapped to when he heard a sharp whistle. Automatically standing rigid and straight-backed at the sound, Deus focused on the scaffolding in front of him. It looked like things were underway…
Listening intently, Deus began to wonder what this city would be like. Surely, there would be things that could help the world, help rid it of wars like that of the one his family was currently in. He would fight to find this city just the same as if he was on the battlefront.
Turning to the others after the speech, he smiled a tooth filled grin. “I don’t know about you all, but I’ve been out of town for a while. I shall go look around the shops, and see if they have any new equipment. Feel free to come if you wish; I shall be in the Silver Blade tavern afterwards.”
Turning, the large Arcozian left the courtyard at a slow pace, thinking to himself and giving anyone else the chance to catch up with him if they wished. --- Deus is going to be looking for any new or better spears/javelins that he might be able to afford.
Pol sighed in relief as the announcement ended. He nodded to deus, then said, " I think I'll look around the shops a bit as well. Who knows, I might manage to find something useful...like...purified salts. Or a focusing crystal. Or maybe even an exorcism staff. In any case, I'll meet back up with you all at the Tavern."
Even if I found them though, would I be able to afford such things? eh..maybe. If I can't, perhaps I can ask the order for a bit of cash to buy something. Or maybe not. They probably need the cash to fund an orphanage or something. Right. If I can't afford it on my own, I'll just have to do without.
---------------- Pol will be searching for instructional books on elemental manipulation, books with stories on exorcisms and such, and/or an exorcism staff, focusing crystal, and purifying salts.
Kiley stands for a moment, trying to decided what to do.
Why am I hestitating. I thought I was over this. Just move your feet Kiley!
She smiles and gives a quick nod to Mi'ia. "I'll see you later then." See says before she runs off after Pol. Catching up to him she walks along side of him for a second.
"Pol, do you mind if I join you. I wanted to talk to you and, um, ask you a few things." she says a bit more timid than she would have liked, looking down at the ground.
Mi'ia looks around to see who she is going to go with. Hmmm.... looks like she wants to be with Pol alone. I'll go with Deus. Turning she quickly rushes after him. "Hey lizard boy. I think that I'll join you." smiling she falls into pace with the large lizard man.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
As Kiley came up behind him, Pol nodded, " I'd welcome your company. Is there anything you need to look for in town? I'm going to be searching the stores for mystical items. Things that will assist in exorcisms and I'm going to see if there's anything that will help with the manipulation of fire. Or did you want to talk about something?"
As he spoke, Pol kept his head foreward, not to be impolite, but out of habit.
Kiley looks up a head of her. "I don't know. I suppose some sort of weapon would be useful. Though I still don't really have any sort of skills with weapons. Actually I just wanted to talk to you." She stops for moment thinking.
"I wanted to thank you. The things you taught me really helped me when we were in the tower and while I was training. I wanted to thank you for giving me the confidence I needed."
Pol smiled under the wrappings covering his face, " It's good to hear that I was able to help you. Perhaps we can find something that will function like a weapon for you. It doesn't have to be a normal thing. Swords and staves and such are great, but for those like us, who manipulate energies. It would be more effective to find ways to turn those into our own weapons, hmm?"
Kiley thought for a moment. "A weapon that focuses our engery? You mean like a magic wand? I thought those only existed in stories. I know there are swords and staffs and other weapons that are said to focus engery, but I was always told that they take great strength and skill to use."
