Kiley nodds and borrowing a knife she cuts the apples and stuffs the neatly cleaned rabbits and then delivers them to Pol. "Pol, how long do you think they will take to cook?" She asks smiling. "Maybe you could train me some while we wait. That is if they may take a while."
By the time Kiley finishes stuffing the rabbits, Pol finishes his construction. After taking the stuffed rabbits and setting them up to cook, he looks to kiley and nods with a smile, " sounds good to me."
As the rabbits cook, Pol clears out a space to sit, and shows Kiley the position for meditation, " now then, the first step to meditation is relaxation. once you are calm, you can begin to control your breathing, and once that is under control, you can clear your mind and focus."
------- cooking check: I rolled a 7 skill lvl 1 pertinent stat 4 (mind) ie, I failed by two....>.<;
The attempt at cooking wasn't a complete failure as the concoction was at least edible with some salt. Most interesting enough, the rest of the evening passes without event.
After supper, Tia moved to her bedroll, saying, "All right, everyone. I'm done for the evening. I'll see you all tomorrow." With that, she was asleep.
Kraln sat where his gear was. "Get some rest, everyone. I'll stand the first watch. Deus, I'll get you for the second. You can get Tia for the third, then." He began his vigil for the evening.

After finishing her meal Kiley walks over to Pol. "Thank you for not only cooking but also training me." she bows in respect and thanks and walks away. She looks for a spot on the ground covered in moss and curls up and falls asleep.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Dues finished the last of his apple, noting the interesting flavor. It was always intriguing when someone else made food; the flavor of even well know dishes change...
He gave Kraln a look while he was getting ready to sleep. "Don't you get any ideas about staying up all night, hear? Just because we are in training doesn't mean we can't stay up for watch." Giving the other man a big grin, he rolled over; sure he would be up in a few hours.
Nodding to the others, Pol was happy none commented on the semi-burnt texture and other minor problems in the cooking. After finishing his meal, he went back to the cleared space and rolled out his bedmat, scrunching up under his covers and getting warm, drifting off to sleep as he lets his mental picture of the area wane.
Watch was uneventful for Tia. She stared into the woods, counted the moons, and dreamed about the heavens. Suddenly, there was a wail unlike any she had ever heard before. She arose and was steady on her feet before she knew what was what. The young Supplicant heard the wail and covered ears in terror. The noise was abrasive and loathsome. It was full of pity and sadness. She hefted the Oracillion from off of the ground and leaned against it, covering her ears again. Kraln shot up as soon as the noise began. "Master Kraln, what's happening?" Tia asked over the dreadful sound.
He had heard many things scream before: Men, children, dying dragons. Nothing compared to this. He shook, visibly, with fear. This noise was not natural, and it had no place in this world. He drew his blade, trying to console himself and harden his resolve, when the wail came again. He turned and face the direction it came from, No, he thought, That is the way we must go. He quickly spoke a quiet prayer to the Willow. Kraln stood fast, and replied, "It seems that someone has upset something further up in the canyon." He looked around to the other four.
mi'ia jerks up and fails out of the tree with a loud thud. she lets out a low pitiful mew. she slowly sits up, still hearing the screaming. She looks around rubbing her back. whoever said cats always land on their feet are idoits beyond compare. still mewing she slowly gets up to see what is going on.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Kiley stirs in her make shift bed as she tries to wake from her nightmare. Suddenly she wakes and sits up screaming. Shaking she curls up into a ball, the screams from her dreams still echoing in her head. Unabvle to tell if the noise is real or if she is still dreaming she holds her ears tightly and cries.
Snapping awake, Pol finds himself screaming out, a quickly pulls a hand over his mouth. As he calms himself, he slowly initiate's his minds eye, letting the area come into focus and scanning it for others. again. again a dream of torment and misery. when will these stop? its been 5 years, I should have control of them by now, perhaps....perhaps they are linked to him. yes, I will inquire the next time he stirs....furthermore, it was almost exactly the same as the last dream, perhaps I should speak of Kiley of this...as for now, I should check with the others.
Getting to his feet, Pol moves around, finding the crying Kiley first and giving her a hug, " its okay...nothing's here now....if anything I think we scared them away. " With a weak laugh, Pol continues, " calm down....there's nothing here that will hurt us, we proved that earlier, when we defeated the large being, did we not? now please, tell me what's bothering you so, it will help ease the burden" with a smile probably concealed by the darkness of night, Pol gently strokes Kiley's hair and tries to calm her.

Jerking awake, Deus spends a moment casting his sight around, confused and alarmed by his dream. As his sight comes to him, he relaxes as he realizes that he is still in the camp, and that everyone is where he left them.
He jerks, suddenly, as he realizes that something had happened. Tia was comforting Kraln, and it looked like Pol was trying to wake Kiley from a dream. Or nightmare...
Seeing Mi'ia walking unsteadily towards the fire, he pushes the remnants of his own dream from his head. He would worry about that later... Pushing himself to the ground, he realized that his mind was much more awake then his body. Staggering to his feet, he looked towards Mi'ia and called out in a gruff, still sleepy voice, "Mi'ia, what happened?"
Kiley eyes are wide with terror as the wailing sound echos in the caynon. She looks up at him still crying, still scared. "The.... screaming.... stop... please.... no.... don't... leave... please.... the... screaming....no!" Her tears flow steadily as she tucks herself into Pol. "Please... the screaming.... stop it...please.... Pol.... make it.... stop..... please."
"I fell out of the damn tree! Whoever said that cats always land on their feet and morons. I havent done that since I was a cub. Stupid dream. I hate dreams. Stupid dreams." she starts mewing softly rubing her back, as she looks around she asks " so what's going on? and what is with that screaming?"
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Pol continued to hug Kiley, rubbing her back and head to try and calm her down, whispering soothing sounds to her as he rubbed, " calm down, it was just a dream, dreams can't hurt you...dreams have power, but you have more. now tell me of your dream so that it's burden may be lessened...." looks like it was the same dream, but stronger this time, perhaps this means the time for it's arrival draws near. but how does one prepare for something like this? no, preparing for it will lead to it. what will come will come, but I will not set my future in stone by adhering to a dream.
Deus shook his head, still unsure of what just happened himself. There was a dream, but... Unless everyone had a dream... "You said you had a dream, too? I suppose everyone got one, then." He nodded towards Celest. He continued in a lower voice. "It must have been pretty bad..."
Hmm... I wonder... Did everyone have the same dream...? He looked back towards Mi'ia. "Mine had a canyon, and some screaming. I think I was alone, or maybe being left. It was... very odd. A little frightening, too. Was yours anything like that?"
Kiley looks up at Pol again still scared, still crying, unsure if the sound she is hearing is just echoing in her head or if it is real. "The screaming... what is it?... I can't tell if it is real." She shakes her head trying to jar it from her mind if it is only a memory. "It's like in my dream... nightmare... the noise... the scream... Everyone was leaving... traped... can't move.... screaming but no sound... then the noise... that scream... was it me?... Is it real?.... can't you hear it Pol?"
Pol nods, " I hear it, but I do not let it sway me....your safety, and the safety of the others, the concern for it allows me to....push it away. Kiley, YOU are master of your mind, the scream is in your mind, therefore you are master of it. don't let it continue to bother you, force it to stop, if only for the moment." not sure how useful that is, but I hope it at least helps...
Turning to Deus, Pol continues, " you had the dream as well? this is getting more complicated then....Kiley and I had this dream not long ago, but there was no screaming...I don't think...it's changing...if it's changing, then perhaps we are affecting it, you did not experience it last time, so perhaps that too is a change in it."
Kiley tries hard to listen to Pol's advise, she tries to relax and focus on the things he had taught her about meditation, hoping it would help. She calms down a bit, the scream still ringing in her head but she's able to ignore it,a little. She looks at Pol and Deus. "The dream, it was different. Last time I was on the one side of a canyon, all of you were on the other, far away. This time, we were all inside, you were walking away. I felt like I could catch up to you, if I could only move. If I screamed you would here me and come back, but there was no sound. Not until the other scream came." Tears still stream from her eyes, just not as heavily as before. She is obviously still scared. "I'm tired of having nightmares, Pol. I don't understand where they're coming from. I've never had them before, not like this. I just don't understand." She looks down again, clinging to Pol for comfort.
With a sigh, Pol hugs Kiley again and replies, " perhaps they are coming from me...I've had to deal with them for five years now...however they haven't been as frequent....perhaps it is because we are a group...." Pol then laughs, " of course, it should have been obvious....this would be a test of the grandmasters....to see if we are ready to face the strange things this world will throw at us....well then, if they're listening...I say this, if the worst they can throw is horrible dreams, we've already passed the test." and now I need to figure out the real cause of these dreams, I seriously doubt the grandmaster of the order is at work here, otherwise the first dream would have been apparent to all of us. gears are turning, where, why, and what they will do is the question now...
