Here is the way to get to Paris from New York. Look at step 23 and laugh hysterically like I did. Sorry, you have to type New York, New York to Paris, France and then laugh.

You've got to be kidding me.
Well the peeps at google certainly have a good sense of humor.
What I find interesting is the long distance they have you swim. They actually have you drive south and then swim NEE. Why just swim from New York or drive north a bit so you don't have to swim so far. Like drive up to Canada and then swim to G.B. and from there you can take a train or a hovercraft across to France.
I'm gonna go see what MapQuest.
Ok yeah Mapquest sucks. They won't give you directions to or from Paris outside Europe.

You know I don't think they're kidding. I think somehow the site thinks you are Benoit Lecomte* and is trying to be helpful!
* Obscure reference: Benoit Lecomte is the guy who swam across the Atlantic in 1998.

Maybe that is the actual route that he took.
Edit: Ok, yeah I cheaked and it isn't the route Benoit Lecomte took. He swam from Hyannis, Massachusetts to Quiberon, Brittany, France. I've tried it a few times and Google always seems to use Boston, Massachusetts to Le Havre, France.
Baka Points to anyone who can tell me why.

Im not really trying to revive this thread, I just thought you guys should know that I tried to look up those directions again for a laugh and it says that they can't calculate the driving directions.
Yeah it sucks and makes me sad.
