Consider.CNN, oddly enough, does not have the whole scoop. The missile takes about three days to fuel, and can only remain fueled safely for two. Also, its range isn't limited to Alaska - more like California. And the missile defense? Well. Let's just say it is very capable. Still, the question presents itself: what are they trying to accomplish?

Could it just be that they feel that they should have a nuclear program? I mean you have India, Pakistan, the US, Russia, France, and a whole host of other countries with "the bomb". I think that it's a little arrogant of the US or the UN for that matter to say who can and who can't have Nuclear armaments.
But in the same breath, I'm not supporting North Korea. I admit that Kim Jong Il isn't the most sane person leading a country right now, but neither is Bush. I think that the Bush administration as well as the rest of the world needs to look at situations first before saying "They're making a bomb to destroy out way of life!"...because if that's true, why didn't these people get on Pakistan or any of the other countries when they developed them?
I think alot of the fear of North Korea is steming from a rather McCarthyistic view that just because North Korea happens to be Communist that they are planning to take over the world.
Thought should be put into any stratagy that they decide on, either way. We don't need a checker's player right now...we need a chess player.

Man, I think CNN is trying to accomplish putting us into a false sense of security. The news has a LLLLOOOONNNNNNGGGGG history of doing that. It is nothing new.
