sorry about that Beast, I missed your post. As for the BESM system it is pretty staright forward. If you still need help, seeing as you live in the troy area, I'd go visit Artemi or Antaeus. They can teach you the ins and outs.

ok, talking with beast I came to the conclusion that some of you may need a few more things on the attribute list to be able to spend all your points. I did some digging and found a few from BESM d20 that we can use. So here we go...
Aura of Command Cost: 1 Point/Rank The character possesses a natural knack for leadership. Your allies and friends naturally turn to you for advice or ideas and people will look to you in cases of emergency. Limit 2 ranks.
Computer Scanning Cost: 2 Points/Rank You are a computer junkie. You can read most forms of programing and can easily access data from computers.
Defence Combat Mastery Cost: 2 Points/Rank You have had training in the art of not being hit. Must have some form of formal trainign in back story. Combat Mastery is most likely but not really requiered.
Mechanical Genius Cost: 2 Points/Rank You are really good at tinkering with machines. You enjoy tinkering and given enough time you can probably figure out how it works and if needed, how to fix it.
Personal Gear Cost: 2 Points/Rank You have some really really really cool toys. Limit 3 ranks.
Servant Cost: 2 Points/Rank A servent is like a Flunkie only better. It is this person job and sole perpose to take care of you.
Wealth Cost: 3 Points/Rank Your rich. Really rich. Beyond normal rich.
Ok well that concludes that. If you have an idea for an attribute pm me and we can discuss it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ok i guess i have the time so i should type this out.
Allowed Attributes:
Animal Friendship: 1-2 levels: you have really close ties with a pet. 3+ you are really good with animals, thinking of being a trainer or a vet. Appearence: yes Armour: limit 1 level, you have bike armour or a flak jacket Art of Distraction: yes Astral Projection: no Combat mastery: yes with backstory Damn Health: yes Dynamic Sorcey: no Elasticity: no Environmental Control: no Exorcism: no Extra Attacks: maybe must be approved Flight: no Flunkies: yes Force Field: no Heightened Senses: ONLY if you are blind. your other senses try to make up for it. Invisibility: no Item of Power: must be approved Jumping: 2 levels max with backstory Massive Damage: no Mind Contro: no Mind Sheild: no Natural weapons: no Organizationa ties: limit 1 level Own a big Mecha: limit 1 level, car or motorcycle Psionics: no Regereration: no Shape Change: no Sixth Sense: no Special Attack: must be approved. no magic. Special Defense: must be approved, no magic Special Movement: 99% no, you can ask though Telekinesis: no Telepathy: no Teleport: hell no

I threw up to descriptions for the Attributes I added. I'll see about getting some short versions of the rest of the attributes. I don't have time right now as we are taking the Little Man trick or treating soon. I'll try to get them up tonight. If any one wants to they can go to Guardians of the Order. com and find some descriptions in the BESM d20 system. They have that system still up on their site. Other than that any one can pm me and ask me.
Another note, I've decided to push the deadline back to Nov. 2. Giving you guys a couple days more to get characters in. Though if they are all in by tonight that would be great.

ok here is some specifics about the Attributes, anything not here was either a, already discussed; b, obvious; or c, should be asked about.
Armour Reduces damage 4 points per rank. I can only have one rank.
Art of Distraction You are naturally good at bringing attention to yourself via beauty, voice, ect. You can motivate a willing audience to your cause. Rank 1: The character can distract one individuals, or 5% of an audience will be motivated. Rank 2: The character can distract up to two individuals, or 10% of an audience will be motivated. Rank 3: The character can distract a small crowd (1-10 individuals), or 20% of an audience will be motivated. Rank 4: The character can distract a medium crowd (11-50 individuals), or 50% of an audience will be motivated. Rank 5: The character can distract a large crowd (50-200 individuals), or 75% of an audience will be motivated. Rank 6: The character can distract a very large crowd (200-1000 individuals), or 95-100% of an audience will be motivated.
Combat Mastery Your CV is raised 1 point per rank.
Aura of Command Rank 1: The character can inspire one person. Rank 2: The character can inspire up to two people. Rank 3: The character can inspire a small team (1-10 people). Rank 4: The character can inspire a medium team (11-50 people). Rank 5: The character can inspire a large team (50-200 people). Rank 6: The character can inspire a very large team (200-1000 people).
Damn Healthy Your HP is raised 5 points per rank
Flunkies Rank 1: The character controls 1 flunky. Rank 2: The character controls 2 flunkies or one really good flunky. Rank 3: The character controls 3 or 4 flunkies Rank 4: The character controls 5 to 7 flunkies or 2 good flunkies. Rank 5: The character controls 8 to 12 flunkies or 3 or 4 good flunkies. Rank 6 : The character controls 13 to 20 flunkies or 5 or 6 good flunkies.

What does the average punch/ unarmed attack do in this game? What is CV? And what does it do? How do I figure out what my hp is normally, without any modifications? Are flunkies characters I control or you control? If I have flunkies are they always readily available?

However, damage is usually figured by CV + Body + Weapon. Usually. 2: CV is Combat Value. It determines many things, like who gets initiative and your damage. 3: (Body + Soul) x 5. 4: Uh... Hey! Is that a flying hippogriff!? (runs away)

Thank you Eun for answering some of those questions. I will be happy to give even further detail.
1) Page 19 of the FastPlay resource book says... The damage delivered by your character will depend on the form of attack used: Unarmed Combat: Your character's CV Armed Combat (average weapon): Your character's CV, multipled by 2 Armed Combat (powerful weapon): CV times 3 Combat using attribute: CV plus additional damage; in our case 1 for each rank in Combat Mastery. The book goes on to give definitions of average and powerful weapons.
2) CV is Combat Value, see page 12, bottom of 15, page 17, and page 19.
3) page 12, To calculate your character's Helath Points, add together your Body and Soul stats and multiply by 5 ([Body x Soul] x 5).
4) Ok the FastPlay book does not cover this, however I have been supplimenting certain holes using the BESM d20 book. That book says that flunkies are NPCs that you control. I translate this as, when ever the flunkies speaks, I GM put those words into their mouth, but you get to order then around to your hearts desire. Here is what the d20 book says...
Now concering weither they are constantly availible, for the most part yes. There are a few times when they aren't. For example if your flunkie is a freshmen and you are a senior you wont have the same classes, but before, between and after class they will be flocked around you. However they won't be able to sleep over every night so unless you live in a dorm and you have managed to make them your room mate, you wont have them between the hours of 10pm and 7 am. And lastly if you have a job, unless they have the same job, you'll be fired if they interfer with your job too much.
Ok any more questions?

Alright this probably isn't the right place for it, but I had to start somewhere. If at all possible I would like in, it may take me a day or two to create a char and orient myself. I still need to finish reading up on the game itself and make a character... assuming! That you're cool with it. You Celest... yes you! Either drop me a PM or give me a call.... or you know tell me "to go to the correct page you newb!"
