Face it, you didn't want to go. You had friends, family, lovers and a plan just like millions of others in The Draft. But hey, after the fall of Loki...its time for peace right?
Colonial life in 2264 has just become a little worse. Pirates have always been a threat just as civil unrest has been problematic. The government is busy with the post-War reconstruction effort when the Vanguard (genetically modified and specially trained soldiers of the War) start carrying out their final order from 20 years ago, the citizens of the Pan-Galactic Coalition find themselves unprepared for another war. And as if another war wasn't bad enough, a new more sinister force is gaining power behind the scenes and waiting for a chance to strike in all directions.
The good news is that unprepared is not necessarily unwilling. You have friends, family,lovers and most importantly, a plan.

A few details concerning Mission Accepted. MA is the anime sci-fi setting for witch the homebrew system "Longsword" was designed. Longsword, however, is a little too complex and downright incomplete to be used over a medium like PBEM or BBS, so Artemi and I came up with a compact version aptly (and cleverly) named Shortsword.
MA is a persistent continuity where one groups actions can (and will) affect another group in the same time period. In truth, this game will have far reaching consequences for the rest of the universe.
This game will be GMed by Artemi and myself intermittently with game posts on a weekly basis. All are welcome and encouraged to sign. I would like to have at least 3 players, though we can run with 2 and would much prefer around 5. We will start when the roster is full so no pressure there. Questions?
Oh, and you will refer to the GMs collectively as "Big Brother". It will amuse us.
