So I joined an Exalted game as a Dragon Blooded and was wondering if anyone could recommend any resources.

The 'stunt' rule is quite possibly the best thing ever invented by a role playing organization.

As the man running this game, I can perhaps suggest some resources... ::grins::

Three Kingdoms, Twelve Kingdoms, Fushigi Yuugi, any Zhang Yimou film, but especially Hero, Ninja Scroll, the Iliad, George R.R. Martin's Song of Fire and Ice, John Marco's The Jackal of Nar, Terry Pratchett's Discworld (the interaction-with-gods-and-stuff bits, not the immense silliness), and the NEW Star Wars movies (yes, I'm serious - heroic politics in a crumbling, war-ridden nation. It doesn't get much better than that.)

I should also note that anyone who wants to be involved with the game and who can make it to Troy on Saturday evenings should PM me - I could possibly be convinced to take on another PC, but I'm also looking for an experienced roleplayer to help me RP major NPCs on an irregular basis. Experience with Exalted is preferred, but not necessary.

It is, as Antaeus said, a Dragon-Blooded game, Dynastic politics will play a central role, but there will probably be as much going on outside the Realm as in it. Expect to see impossible alliances made and broken, a nation shattered and rebuilt, and the world brought to the cusp of the Third Age. Dress is casual, but bring your sword.
