If you were in the voting booth, through no fault of your own, and this ballot were your choices, who would get your vote? Why?

I have little to no understanding of the true effects of domestic policy on the state of a nation. I am competent to judge a candidate only on grounds of foreign policy and strength of character. In the end, it comes down to Bill Clinton's strong foreign policy and decent strength of character, and Colin Powell's decent foreign policy and strong character. It's basically a toss-up here, but I'll have to go with the veteran. Powell.

Wow. I hope you're being facetious when saying that about Bill Clinton. I thought he had a better domestic policy and a crappy foreign policy (letting El Qaida grow larger, rather than be accused of "Wagging the Dog" and loss of national status through inaction) and no moral character at all. ('nuff sed)
Personally, I would also vote for Colin Powell. He is the most qualified person over the last 20 years. Sad thing is, that he refuses to run.
F***ing bigotry.

While I'm joking on the "MAN" (as in Samuel L. Jackson) part, I do think that Powell would make a good president when compared to the other candidates here. To me, the only other possibilities were the two Clintons... but Powell manages to come out just a bit ahead.
As for Bill Clinton, my main beefs are that he's had his time in the spotlight already and that his inaction against Saddam Hussein didn't really help this country. If he had sent our troops in when we HAD A REASON TO GO, then maybe we wouldn't be worrying about so much of a mess over there because our current president likes to lie for personal gain.
And for Hillary, my main problem is that she would clinch the ballot for a conservative candidate. Bottom line, I believe that this nation is too prejudiced against the idea of women in the highest echelons of government for her to win an election. I'll most likely vote for her if she runs, but I'll be damned if she'll get my vote in the primaries.
@curulambe: When you say "veteran", what exactly do you mean? I can assume all I want, but that doesn't make my assumptions correct. The way it is worded, it could easily be interpreted as "veteran of the office"... which would be W. Clinton.

By "veteran" I mean "someone who has actively served in the military".
