0-Posters[/u]
Any member who joins the Temple and fails to post within two weeks will be labeled as a "0-Poster" and moved into Darkenheart status.
From this point there is a one week interim period with which they are given a chance to log in and post without Staff intervention. After this week interim, an email will be sent by the appropriate Temple Gatekeeper (currently Atreides Conscript
Temple Gatekeeper) telling them that they have one week to either contact him/her via email or post. After said week, deletion occurs. All-in-all, this gives four weeks from registration to deletion for a 0-Poster.
Neglectful Posters[/u]
A neglectful poster is defined as any Temple member who has posted on the forum, yet followed that by a long period (at least two weeks) of inactivity without notification of absence to the staff.
After two weeks of non-posting (logging in doesn't count), a member will go into Darkenheart and be labeled as a "Neglectful Poster". From this point, the member is given another two weeks to post before Staff intervention via email (currently done by Atreides Conscript,
Temple Gatekeeper). After an email message, the member has two weeks to return a message explaining their situation or to post on the forum. After this two weeks of inactivity, they are deleted. All-in-all six weeks from last post to deletion for a "Neglectful Poster".
Note: If the explanation is unsatisfactory (as decided by eunhathes,
Guardian-Curator), then the member may face a degree of punishment as seen fit by the Executive Staff.
Neglectful Posters As Staff (A.K.A. "Inactive Staff")[/u]
Staff members should never be neglectful in posting or their duties. If they cannot fulfill their duties for an extended period of time, then they should contact the Guardian Curator and step down from their position. All Temple members, staff included, have lives that will have to take precedent over the forum. It is the duty of a responsible staff member to step down in the event of his/her inability to maintain their position.
The problem comes when a staff member fails to contact the Guardian Curator before a period of absence, or step down before an extended absence. This creates what we have come to know as "Inactive Staff". While this isn't a visible blight upon the forum, it does carry with it serious pitfalls for the rest of the "Active Staff". For this reason, a staff member will be defined as "Inactive" if they meet any of the following criteria:
- Absent from log-in for more than one week without notice.
- Absent from posting and/or duties for two weeks without explanation.
- Long period of absence (with or without notice) without stepping down from position.
Any staff member labeled as "Inactive" will be sent an email notice immediately by the appropriate staff member (their direct superior, be it Gatekeepers for Adjudicators and Guardian Curator for Gatekeepers and Servitors). One week following without response or post will result in demotion from their position to basic membership status and may become a factor should they ever apply for their position back, or another position at a later date.
After demotion they are treated as a normal member, which means they are given no special treatment in regards to the "Neglectful Poster" status of Darkenheart. Should they fall into such a status, then the rules for such listed above apply directly.
Implementation and Execution[/u][/b]
This will take effect starting 05Apr 2006 at 0800. It will effect only persons who have been negligent from that date forward, effectively providing a clean slate for all posters starting at that time.
