Day Of Silence
This is something my sister Kt is doing along with the rest of her college Dems (she's the president of the UofM Flint chapter).
This is what Kt said about it in an email...
I couldn't think of a better way to discribe it than that. Anyway... I know it a bit late of a notice but I just figure I would give you guys some information about it if you want to do it.
If any of you do try it, you can print these out to give to people to explain why your not talking.

The Day of Silence is an annual event held to bring attention to the effects of bullying, harassment and discrimination of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered students in schools. Students and teachers nationwide will observe the day in silence to echo the silence that LGBT and ally students face everyday. In it's 11th year, the Day of Silence is one of the largest student-led actions in the country
