... has been announced!!!!
I told all of you trekkies here that Nemesis was not going to be the last movie.
There is still nothing posted on imdb about the movie as of now. But I do think this one will not be that good if the pattern continues.
Do you think the current pattern will continue? Please post.
Star Trek I: decent start Star Trek II: great freakin' movie Star Trek III: Eh.. Star Trek IV: Better than III Star Trek V: Eh... Star Trek VI: Great movie Star Trek Generations: Could have been better Star Trek First Contact: Best in my opinion Star Trek Insurrection: Eh... Star Trek Nemesis: Two words... Ramming speed

Alright, I don't see a pattern at all. I think that you're overanalyzing things.
The Motion Picture - Decent movie... quite cool for its time. Rating=3
Star Trek II - Damn good movie... especially for its time. Rating=5
Star Trek III - Little action, but a great setup for the follwoing movies. Rating=3
Star Trek IV - Almost a comedy flick, but still good and fitting for Star Trek. Rating=4
Star Trek V - Sorry plot and little relation to the other films. Light comedy saves the movie from utter crapdom. Rating=2
Star Trek VI - Damn good movie before you even consider it as Star Trek. Pulls a bit from other movies and gives a good sense of resolution overall. Rating=5
Star Trek: Generations - Gave us an excuse to view the Next Gen crew and tie it in with our older generation. Good movie overall with a decent plot and pull-ins from other places in Star Trek. Rating=4
Star Trek: First Contact - Good movie, but not as good if you didn't watch the Borg episodes of Next Gen. Couldn't stand alone as well as Star Trek VI. Still a great movie though. Rating=5
Star Trek: Insurrection - Went further outside of the box. Overall not as gripping as more conventional Star Trek films, but didn't really do anything wrong either. Rating=3
Star Trek: Nemisis - Almost as far outside of the box as Insurrection, but in a sexier starship combat way. Gets huge points from me for actually fighting commonly in three dimensions and using naval tactics. Also is the first film to incorporate the Romulans heavily, and you don't really have to know anything about them for the movie like you did with the Borg in First Contact. Rating=5 (and is my current favourite with Star Trek VI tailing very closely)
Overall, I think that it is WAAY too far out to judge anything. I'm not even going to speculate. I just hope that it doesn't involve the Star Trek: Enterprise crew. That would suck rather hard.

I'm hardly a Trekker, but I do enjoy the movies and shows and so I guess I'm looking forward to the latest installment.
Be cool if it had zombies. ;D
