Okay, this thread is a bit like a game. Its purpose is to give those of you who are Magically (as in The Gatheringly) inclined something interesting to do here. Another good thread is being headed up by Celest and is entitled "New Game". It's concept is slightly different however.

The concept for this little game is to take a card that will be given out every so often, and make a combo between it and other cards. Then, at the end of the time given (which will be announced as the cards are named), your combos will be rated on a point scale from 1.00 to 10.00.

These ratings will be done by myself and Eunhathes for now, but other people are welcome to apply for a judging seat. Just because you're a judge, doesn't mean that you can't play... but rather that you must be completely honest and objective about your own ratings. Apply to me via PM, and treat the application like it actually is one (give credentials, give examples of how you can be objective about things involving yourself, tell me why you'd be good for the position, etc.). THIS POSITION CARRIES WITH IT NO FORMAL RANKING (as in you aren't considered staff).

Combos will be rated on the following criteria:

• Effectiveness (How good is the combo at what it attempts?)
• Number of Cards (lower is better)
• Number of Colours Involved (five color combos aren't easy to pull off... and thus aren't particularly good)
• Synergy (Does the combo fit seamlessly together, or is it generic and bland?)

If anybody can think of other good choices for rating categories... I'm all ears via PM.

this combo takes two colors, green and black.

assuming that you have fecundity and thoughtpicker which in your hand at the begging. you play thoughtpicker which your first turn, second turn you can play another creature, third turn you play fecundity. each turn till your sixth you play a creature. on the sixth turn you play Masumaro, first to live, which his power is equal to twice the # of cards in your hand. the next turn you attack and if you can get through, sac all creatures to your thoughtpicker wich, removing some of there cards and drawing cards for fecundity. then the power of Masumaro will be pretty high. thats at least a power of 12/12 to hit them with. and with black you can get through pretty easy or give him trample.

Fecundity + Mind Slash
This tag team of hand control works wonders on an opponent's hand, especially when combined with something nifty like a Genju of the Cedars. Toss in Verduran Enchantress for even more sicko-ness and Megrim if you really need a vic condition, or even Forbidden Orchard, if you're feeling particularily nasty.

Fecundity + Bloodbond March + Cloudstone Curio

This requires a sacrificing ability, take your pick: Thoughtpicker witch, Golgori rotwurm, plagued rusalka, Ghost Council, or even Sakura tribe elder.

Play a creature, sac it: Draw a card. Play the second copy of it, let bloodbound resolve, throw the second in play. Let Curio trigger, return the original... repeat...

Is it full proof? No... But it works its Black/green and gives you a few options

I know this is an old thread... but I love Fecundity.

Here's what's going down. Have multiple forests in play, the more the better. Next step is to play the Beacon with the Blasting Station and Fecundity in play. Each forest you have effectively turns into one damage and one card you can draw. This wont kill someone in one shot, but Beacon of Creation does get shuffled back into your deck.
