If you have Bit Torrent, you can get the Final Fantasy 7 movie, from Baka Updates. On a seperate note, I had no idea where to put this thread. Is it a movie thread? A game thread? How about anime!?! >_<

Hmm... I think it is best kept in the Garden. As the main subject matter is a spinoff of a Final Fantasy game, and its expected audience is those who have played the game, keeping it here works.
On a diffrent note, is it subtitled?

*SPOILERS*
no I do believe the movie has been dubbed to English. The movie has mysterious screen shots of Sephiroth and Aerith. And they refuse to show Aerith's eyes in any of the shots meaning to me that she's been fused with mako and she has the green eye thing going... also that means that somehow she's alive.
The crew promised that the focus of the movie would be on the new bad guy, the sephiroth lookalike, but I have reason to believe its going to go full circle back to Aerith and Sephiroth.

Edited because i'm a dumb ass and listed it as a game rather than a movie *smacks himself*

The only game I know of that is a spin off of FFVII is Cerberus Dirge (I think that is the name), which is a cell phone based game featuring Vincent as a Turk. I know not of a Advent Children game...

The torrent I have has the Japanese audio; the subtitles can be acquired separately. Though I haven't finished DLing it yet (about halfway done), I have assurance that it pwns. Having seen extensive clippage at the Dear Friends concert in February, I am completely freaking pumped. EDIT: Broken links fixed.

Given the fact that FF7 is by far and large the most poular RPG of all time, I could see it relesed here in the states.
On DVD.
In a dark room.
In a locked cabinet.
With a sign that says 'beware of the Weapon'.

ZOMG
Have seen it. I think the top of my head has just flown off. (WARNING: Possible spoilers! I've tried not to, but some people are uber-spoiler-sensitive.)
Think FFVII meets The Matrix, without the philosophy.
After the fight scene with the flowers (if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about), there is an absolutely charming moment involving a cell phone. I shrieked with laughter. This is something I think I last did when I found out I'd gotten into college.
I cannot rave enough about the music. Almost all of it is FFVII music remixed, in a damned awesome fashion - and without the annoying synthed instruments that were the primary turnoff of the OST. Screw a symphony. What "One Winged Angel" needed was POWER CHORDS.
See this damned movie. Now, damn you.
Also, Dyne: Sephiroth and Aerith both make brief appearances, but dead is dead is dead. Which of course never stopped Square from using a character. (And Aerith's eyes are a rather nice hazel - the only time you see them is... well. The screenshot would spoil rather a lot.) I suppose things do come "full circle", but not in the way you're thinking.
