Ok, so there has been a few instances of people hacking their way into the final test run of Halo 3. Then they woke up one day to find this waiting for them... Here's the article I found this on. It all looks quite legit, too...

Ya, I saw that on gamespot and imidiately re-thought my stance on Microsoft.

Ok aside from the fact that.. OUCH!!!. I'd have to say that it might be a hoax, i say this because of the date on the window, i would see microsoft saying more to the flavor of : "you have been permanently banned from X-Box live for performing illegal activities against Microsoft." or something like that; but if someones was given full right to do it then, and i'll say it again, OUCH!!! now call me crazy, but if anyones has a working X-Box 360 on january 1 of the year 10,000, they wont be able to play it; even if the internet is still operational, because we would have evolved beyond our need for thumbs, and there is just no way to pull it off without thumbs

Yes. I imagine they considered that while giggling and putting all nines in the "How long would you like to ban this user for?" space.
