Before the game boots back up over the Yuletide season, I would like to make a mention of the journals.
You see, there has been a VAST amount of misunderstanding regarding what is wanted within these journals. The Remnant threads (and yes, there will be one for each of you) within the Journals of the Wandering section will be the actual story element of Remnant. The game is where it happens, and the journals are your place to show it from your character's point of view.
Ideally, there will be one post in the journals section for each one post in the game. Further, I am relaxing one of the guidelines of the game, and changing it; I want each of you to post once between each of my posts, even if you aren't doing anything. You can tell me that in your post.
Now, in the journals section, you would then put what your character was doing while they were not taking specific action. Were they thinking about something, looking for an opening to attack, wandering around aimlessly, or perhaps just at a loss for what to do? These are the things that would be put in the journals section.
So, the main misunderstanding is that these "journals" actually act like crewman's logs. NO. You could include one of those, but that is not the intent. These journals are the audience's (even if that is only me) camera into your very thoughts. This is the story told from your own point of view.
Further, I will be making posts at the end of every chapter. These posts will reveal what the notable NPCs were doing during their time off-camera. In this way, you can all gain some insight as to who the NPCs really are and what they actually do.
So yeah... I'm sure that there are questions, right?
