I've been thinking about using this thread as a test for my newest project, which is an exorsice of my alter ego, The Hatter. Before I go any further I feel that an explination of my "alter ego" is in order. I've always felt close to the story Alice in Wonderland, for many reasons, yet I didn't think it was as dark as it should have been. My idea of the story as I would write it would not be posted here unless I was given approval from the various staff because of it's rather graphic nature. (Yes, I'm fully aware of the rather heated debate flowing about the staff about the "proposed" rating system...I have my views on this, but will stow my tongue for now.)
To give just abit of a snipit of what the story would be like, I can only give a vague background on my chracter, The Mad Hatter. The writing style will seem rather non-scencical in nature because of the way I plan to write it. Sleep deprivation writing (if you want to know what this is just ask, although the name should tell you enough.) is a new pet project of mine and that is the style in which I'll write this peice. It will be an on going project, so parts will be put up..and that is what they'll be....parts.
But anyway, onto my vague chracter discription.
My character, The Mad Hatter, is nothing like the one your used to, not the fluffy bunny slipper, "hyuck hyuck", Disney mad. He's demented, disturbed and obsessive about his chosen feilds of focus which are time and probability. See a reclusive scientist, with wild, matted and unkept hair flying to the winds. Eyes bloodshot and deprived of rest, but wild, jutting from chart to chart, schematic to schematic. Gnaut and boney hands, broken from tireless work on his clocks and difference engines, trembaling from his manias as well as the caffeinne from drinking to much tea. His obessions with time have driven him to create clockwork automatons using the March Hare and Doormouse as his first test subjects. Of course keeping them around for his experiments on probability (which I won't get into concidering...). A mind broken by lack of sleep brought on by his compulsive nature.
You get the idea. That is the teaser and all I'll put up for now, untill I know that at least someone has an interest in seeing my work.
