So this is a question from my Government class, I'm putting it herre because this board hasn't been toughed since Sept. Hope it fits well enough.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok you are creating a new country with a new government. You have a list of 10 things you beleive a government should gareentee it's people, however your governemtn can only garneetee three. Now just you becasue you don't pick on doesn't mean the right will end tommorrow, there is just a pretty good chance that some point in time it will be threatened or taken away.
Here are your ten choices:
Freedom of Speech and Press- this one is pretty clear.
Freedom of Religion- mostly clear, you won’t get in trouble for picking your own religion, you won’t get another religion forced upon you.
Economic Freedom- Government won’t control business, for the most part.
National Security- Your country won’t be taken over by another country.
Privacy Limits on Police- Cops can’t barge in on you at any time; arrest you with out reason/ warrant, search, ect.
Free Elections- You’ll always be able to pick your leader/leaders.
Equal Opportunity- no one can refuse you a job based on race, sex, religion, ect.
Right to Travel- You can go anywhere you want; you can leave any time you want.
Economic Prosperity- Your country will for the most part, have jobs, make money, be depression free.
Right to a Fair Trial- ok self-explanatory.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So what three would you pick and why. You don't have to debate on it, I'm just curious.
