Jack returned with a broad grin as rain poured heavily on down. "OKAY EVERYONE WE'LL BE RUNNING THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN RANGE FOR THREE HOURS! IF YOU CAN'T KEEP UP, GO HOME! THEN WE'L RUN ANOTHER HOUR IN THE FOREST! WE'LL JOG BACK HERE AND DO COMBAT TRAINING,!" Jack shouted the group of runners all loaded up with close to 90-100 lbs.
Jack takes off running with his pack and twelve of the twenty three chase after him with the raining pelting. The rain poured down constantly, drenching anything in a matter of seconds.

Colleen couldn't help but remember a time at boot camp where the platoon had done something similar to this. Her drill sargent had said the exact same words and she was one of the few who managed to run the entire distance.
The marine was able to keep pace with Jack, occasionally looking over at him. "A little rain never hurt anyone!"

"Oh, but you're lucky cause the real storm is coming," Jack said, pointing to the east where a dark storm front was rapidly approaching. "Well gear up and we'll run through and sign you to different squads and by the looks of it you'll be with those guys," he jerked a thumb at four boys, who all looked to be late teens, all handsome while two sparred with massive swords. The swords were thick and long, probably took 4, maybe 6 normal people to carry, but one of them flicked it around like it weighed barely more than a stick with his lightning fast strikes.
"They're our best recruits and seem to have no regard to notice that they are. Especially, the youngest one- see with the daikatana," Jack commented as he pointed to the the one with the giant sword that now seemed to look a little less than the actual wielder. "He has incredible potential, but seems to have no clue about his abilities or if he does- MAN! is he humble about it. Oh as I said before I went off- I have the tendency to do it every now and then. Go gear up."
OC: sorry about the wait, I sorta forgot with school and everything
