Luncine gives a sly little smile. "Well I was always one to break the rules here and there." She stands and follows the tender. "So whats this all about. How come I'm suddenly invited to all the posh vamp scenes." She askes the tender as she follows her. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can I get a PM or something about what the invite actually said?
The Toreador looked to his Childe, not quite condescendingly, not quite patronizingly. He sighed, "I heard you and Rosa got into it." He waited for a response before proceding, "You know that she's been missing for a few days now, right? You were the last person she was seen with, in an argument." He suppressed a chuckle by covering his mouth. "You can see what kind of predicament that leaves me in, as the Constable, you realize." He finally had to ask, "So, what exactly are you doing? You never dressed up, not even for me."
Shock quarqed her eyebrow and gave Halo a funny look."What are you talking about? I havent talked to her in three months since the last time we got into it and you had to stop me from killing her." She gave and amused look to him. "So then shes gone and I didn't do it. Strange I had thought that I would be the one to get rid of her." Then looking at her dress she looked up and said, "I'm getting ready for a meeting. And besides I don't dress up for you because you never take me anywhere." She smiled at Halo a warm smile.
The bar tender led lucine through several halls to a back room where she sees Shock dressed an a long eligant dress smiling at Halo. She looks up and greets Lucine "How do you do Lucine?"
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Halo's eyes rolled behind his sunglasses. "I never take you anywhere because you have the manners of a brute." He smiled toothily at his childe, reminding her that even he had a humor. "Well, try not to kill your date this time, alright?" The Toreador walked over and placed his hand on her head, supressing the inclination to tussle her hair and instead leaned in and kissed her on the brow. "I'll see you later, alright, Shock? Call me before morning." He stepped away, his emotions for this woman getting the better of him suddenly. Halo had forgotten what she had meant to him when they had formed Cronus Rising. He had forgotten why she was who she was. There was little that had changed, really. Only that she was now his childe, a kind of offspring. Like real human children, it seemed somehow inappropriate to him. Somehow or another, it also intrigued him. The Toreador, Halo, however, took the brief, uncomfortable silence as an opportunity to leave. He turned hastily and leave the room.
Lucine smiles at her hostess. "Very well thank you. I apologize for my dress. I was not aware you would be so... formal. It is a good look on you Shock." She nodds at Halo as he leaves. "Good evening halo, I hope to speak with you later." She then turns back to Shock. "Now what exactly did I do to deserve this invitation. I am a little puzzled. I thought my self to still be to new in this town for connections. Now it seems I am neck deep in the high society. Not only that but our first meeting was, well, not the best, which I do apologize for. That... thing... well thought he was too important for the rules, obviously. I dislike people who flaunt their superfical self importantance."
Shock looked a Lucine and shook her head. "I don't want to talk about unpleasent things. It was a misunderstanding. I sure it will happen again but don't worry. I won't kill you." She looked up after she lit all the candles and took off her sunglasses. "Ahh much better." She opened her eyes to revil and shocking shade of ice blue color to them. "The light of the stage hurts my eyes eminsly." She waved to a chair and said, "Sit. We are her to have a dinner and talk of some things." She smiled as she waited for Lucine to sit.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Luncine smiles. "I've notice that both you and your sire wear sunglasses. I assume it is a family trait." She takes her seat across from Shock. "But as you said, we have some things to discuss. I must admitt I have a few questions and though you probably don't all the answeres, it doesn't hurt to ask. But you did invite me so I will let you start."
The look that crossed the Toreador's face was one of odd confusion. If Shock was not directly responsible for the missing woman, than who was? He decided his best option was to go to Rosa's employer. Slowly, casually, he made his way down to the bar. He was in no hurry to find Rosa, as she was a rival of sorts. She had been opposed to him in every circle since his embrace. However, she was also a citizen who was last seen in the Third Ward. Thus, she was his problem.
The Constable stepped into the night club and proceded to the bar at the front. "Nothing tonight, sir. I'm on duty." He implied the empty glass the barkeep was cleaning, "I need to speak to the hombre in charge. Now." Halo's smile, though deep and sincere, flashed a bit of his new ethnicity and his authority. His fangs only appeared for a moment before the Constable's scowl returned, mirroring the grungy appearance of his faded clothes.
Shock smiled. Unlike the cold ones that she had been giving this one was strangely warm. "Yes I did invite you, didn't I? Very considerate of you insisting on me asking first. I see that you have learned some manners. That's good because I would like to get to know you better." She took a sip of the thick red liquid in the glass sitting in front of her.
"Well I guess that I should get down to it. You arrived here not to long before the old Prince died." She looked up over the rim of her glass. "So I was wondering..." She stopped her sentence, looking like she was searching for a word.
The bartender looked annoyed. "This ain't your bar." He snarled, But went to go get the manager. The manager that walked out was a buddy of yours before your transformation. After you disappeared for that time frame he took it as you brushing him off. Things haven't been the same since then. "So what can I do for ya Halo?" He smiled and held out his hand for a handshake.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
"I am not an Assasin if that is what you are asking." Lucine says quickly, having a feel of where the question was about to go. "So you think the new Prince is lying adn that th old one is dead. I wouldn't be too surpirsed about that either." She pauses for a moment and takes a sip form her glass.
"Personally I don't like being any where near power, not publicly at least. Shortly after I was sired there was a coup in my city. My sire had close connections with the prince at the time, there were those that expectd him to take the position should the prince retire. Becasue of this my sire and I had to flee the city. We were both lucky to get out alive. I like being alive." She stops for a moment, realising the contradictory of that one sentance. "Well, I like not be dust atleast. I enjoy this unlife and will do what ever I can to keep on living it, and I know that being close to power is a bad way of doing that. No, I don't get close to power. If am close, well I there to be an entertainer. I get called if some one wants me to sing at a party of if they want a few pretty girls around for the guests."
The Constable looked at this fresh meat before him. The commentary was uncalled for, and had there been fewer people around, Halo might well have roughed the 'tender up. It was obvious he was new. However, Padre came out. "Padre, good to see you." He clasped hands with the mortal. Long ago, they had been forced their seperate ways by Elina. If only Padre knew how much Elina had stolen him from his friend. In any case, Halo steeled himself.
He looked at his old friend, "I'm looking for Rosa. I've heard some bad things and I'm looking to find out how much is true." Halo had taken the moment with his old buddy to gather his thoughts. He would need them if Padre could, indeed, help him.
Shock looked a little surprised. "Ha...Haha...Hahaha...."She shook her head. "Ahh no. I didn't think that you were the assisan. You would have tried to kill me in my club if you were. No, not an assisan. An intertainer. That is the word I was thinking. Are you the new prince's intertainer?" Shock smiled sweetly, and took a sip of her drink.
Padre shook Halo's hand. He didn't know what had happened between them, only really that some girl had seperated their friendship. Now Halo was the one that controls the things that go bumb in the night. He had heard rumors that Halo himself was one of those things, but Padre didn't want to believe it.
"Rosa. Yeah she hasn't been in and the last person to ask about her befor she disapeard was some new chick. I think that she falls under you dirisdiction. She was quite interesting. Black hair, small stature, alomd eyes that were brown, tanned skin. umm Im not sure what else to tell ya."
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Lunice raises an eybrow slightly. "I'm not sure what you me by intertainer, though I might take a guess." She takes anohter sip. "No, but I assure you I have nother to do with this New Prince, I was just as surpised to see the new one come in as I assume every one else was. I was even more so surprized to be invited to that party. Still trying to fiure that one out, but I rather not risk getting close to the royalty then find out the answere."
She again takes another sip thinking for a moment of how to best disrcibe what she was usually paid for. "A geisha," she said. "A modern geisha I supose. The geishas of old while they were sometimes paid for sexual acts, they were more so paid for their coversation and beauty. That's what I do. I dance and I sing and I know a few good party games. I make samll talk and I look pretty. The only difference is I dont have a srict dress code."
She ponders something for a moment. "If I was invited to that party just to look pretty I better get a check in the mail here soon," she says almost to herself. She smiles at her host. "So is that all you wanted to know, if I was with the new Prince, or is there more?"
Casting a look of futility, Halo nodded, "So, where is this new girl? I suppose she's not here now, is she?" If the Toreador could find her, perhaps he could find Rosa.
Shock looks at Lucine and smiles. "Well that was my biggest question. But I suppose that you could ask me something if you wanted." She leans back in her chair and waits for the question.
"Nah man. She's not here. I told the guys to keep an eye out for her. The first time she was in though she seemed pretty upset. Maybe she got on somebody's bad side. I don't know. She said something about about Shock's bad temper." He shook his head. "I don't know what happened to Shock but after that accident she's a compleatly different person. Wouldn't suprise me if Shock got to her."
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Lucine smile changed ever so slightly as she thought of a question to ask. Her nose had been picking up a strange scent of Shock for a while. It can to her slowly what the scent was. She thought briefly to ask to confirm, but she quickly wiped the thought from her mind. Asking such things was not only rude it could be dangerous.
"Well I suppose there a a few things I could ask you. I am quite curious as to why I was invited to the Princes party last week but I doubt you have that answer. I am also curious as to why I was invited to your little party last week, but I'm guessing it was something to do with Halo spending the night at my place. Not that I mind becoming popular, I am aware it can be dangerous to ones health. No, there is one thing I am quite curious about. At the Prince's party I met a chaming woman named Rosa. She invited me to her bar for a drink and after our little thing last week I decided to take her up on her offer. Unfortunately she wasn't there and hasn't been there snice. I don't know why she grabbed my curiousty but she did, and now she seems to have disappeared. I can't quite get it out of my head. I thought maybe you might have heard something as you seem rather well connected."
Shock raised an eyebrow. "She's gone?..." She tapped her chin as she contmemplated for a moment. "That can be a problem then." Shock got up and bowed a little. "I am sorry to cut this dinner short. I have something that I have to go do." Shock left the room.
Padre raised an eyebrow. "You know the one where she almost died. She more, unpredictable since then. She's been..... Well it's almost like she's insaine." He shruged.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Lucine smiled at Shock as she left. "I look forward to continuing this later." She sits for a moment at the table pondering what to do next. She finishes her drink before standing and leaving the room and walking back out into the bar. She takes a seat at the bar and begins watching the crowd looking for something to peak her interest. She wondered if they ever have live band karoke. That was something she always had fun doing.
The description rang a bell and fascinated the Toreador more and more as he thought about it. However, Halo simply nodded. The event spoken of was Shock's embrace. It was where, depending on which of the two you asked, Halo either saved her life or damned it. "Hmph. Figures that Shock'd be involved. Well, thanks anyway, Padre. What's the damage?" Like always, and a shrewd businessman, Halo implied the cost. It seemed that the one unavoidable truth was that all services had a cost somewhere.
