The "nest" the dog had made seems to be in order. Sand is in the dirt, and vice versa. There is some blood on the ground, but there are also bones and sticks.
Roy himself seems perfectly fine and relatively unharmed. It seems he might have had a run in with a crab a while back.
After a bit of barking, Roy settles down and devours the fig. Though not his preference of meat, the canine still is gracious to have any food. After a while, he appears to finally be paying attention to Lylie. The dog paces around and suddenly darts off into the underbrush again, barking the entire time.
EDIT: Woot! 100th post!

Aboriam widened the spiral of his search. There must certainly be something that will be out of place on this beach. He watched the sand and paid close attention to the patterns of the reedy grasses.

Jenene snapped out of thought, ran after Lylie and Roy, she yelled to Aboriam, " Aboriam Roy is taking us somewhere!" Then she called to Roy, " yes please slow down!" She stuck behind Lylie and tried to keep up with Lylie and Roy.

With quickened reflexes, Aboriam took off at a mad dash to follow the running dog.
The others can catch up with us later, Canis. Show me where you're going... the Elf thought to himself.

Amie quickly shoulders her bow and follows the others and the dog. She gives a high pitched whistle, calling for Meeka.
"Meeka!" she says as the bird flys alongside of her. "Fly ahead and follow that dog! Don't lose him!"

(leaving the beach)
Feeling nothing wrong with the dog, Opal frowed. Now why...?
She was brought out of her thoughts by Roy squirming in her grasp. Thinking she had hurt him, the dwarven woman let him go with a gasp. By the way he ran over to Lylie, though, she figured he was ok. She stood slowly, pulling on her gloves tightly.
That was when the dog took off into the trees at a full sprint.
Opal sat for a moment, staring. Oh, you've got to be kidding me...
Seeing the others take off after him, though, she shook of her stupor. Running after the others, the young cleric could not help but groan. She just HAD to bring her armor, didn't she?

(Beachfront Real Estate)
Oire saw everyone take off sprinting after the fleeing Roy. The human shrugged non-chalantly and decided to follow after them all. He hummed to himself and decided to take his time. Nothing important would happen that he couldn't hear, in any case. Besides, he thought of himself as the rear-guard, now.
Roy runs obviously enough throught the foliage and underbrush tearing an audible path through the wooded area. Suddenly the dog disappears through a tangle of trees that provided an almost totally obscured view of the other side. Bursting from the forest, the party finds itself on a thin, five foot wide edge leading down to the ocean surface. The sun shines off of the waters like light off of a pollished mirror. As far as the eye can see, in any direction, there are crescent islands, cut to shape and glistening glass where they were cut apart from the Capital City with the force of a hundred suns. This is a very hallowed spot. Roy, barking with fury, is looking down the cliff face to the sea beneath the island.

(merrily traipsing along the forest path)
When Aboriam reached the dog and the sea cliff, he looked down to see the object of the animal's animosity... ready to either shoot or climb down as necessary.

Jenene stand there and says to herself, "oh man I dislike heights!" After this Jenene goes over to the edge, keeping her distance she peers down the cliff then steps back away from the edge saying, " Ah, heights are not so bad." Then she thinks to her self, if we need to climb down I can do it.

"Well," Amie says as she looks down the edge of the cliff, "We know where Milady went. Sort of." She takes another look down and back away alittle. Well, If there is one useful spell it would be Feather Fall. But I don't see a place to land. She smiles a bit and laughs nervously. "So can any one see a cave or anything? I don't know how safe it is for Meeka to fly down there."

Aboriam considered for a moment. "If the way is unsafe for Meeka, she will fly back up again." He paused momentarily. "If Melidy went that way, there must be a way down of some sort. Shouldn't there be?"

Jenene goes over to stand by Amie, she says to Amie, " is Meeka trained, if so how long did it take to train her?" After she asks the question, Jenene stand in her current location, waiting for Meeka to return.

Amie turns to Alexander and thinks for a moment. "I don't know. She was a gift from my teacher when I left The Nauld. She is bound to me in ways that are difficult to explain even with magic. Best said she is a familar but is some ways she is more than that. As far as I can guess, she like most familar's aren't really trained. The link they share with their master compinstates for any lack of training."
Amie then looks at Aboriam. "That is not always true. When I said things may be unsafe there I was not refering to the possibility of a foe of sorts, but the flying conditions. I have no way of judging the wind conditions down there, not to mention Meeka is not a sea bird. I don't know if being so close to the water will affect her flying. I suppose I could ask her though." Amie ives a high pitched whistle to call for her little friend. She waits for the bird to perch on her shoulder and asks. "Meeka, would it be safe for you to fly down there and see if there are any caves or anything?"

Jenene says," ah, I understand perfectly now, a gift." After this Jenene goes over to Aboriam to wait for the "scout bird" Meeka to return.

(Along the cut islands)
Puffing slightly, Opal finally caught up with the others. She had had a slight run in with a set of tangly vines, and did not look forward to explaining the story to the others.
Luckily for her, everyone else was preoccupied with looking over the cliff. Taking a moment to catch her breath, the short dwarven woman joined the others, also looking over the rim. Picking up on the murmured explinations, she sat down, carefully watching the area. Perhaps she would recognize a cave opening on the cliff face from here...

Jenene turns to Opal and says, " were you lost among the vines and undergrowth?" After receiving her answer Jenene turns her attention back to the cliff and eagerly awaits the return of Meeka while muttering to herself in Sprite, " come on Meeka we await your return."

[Bringing up the Rear]
Oire followed the slow-footed Opal onto the cliffside. He whistled a sharp, shrill note of someone impressed. "This is quite the view, wouldn't you say?"
Meeka flitted around on Amie's finger. Giving one sharp chirp, it flitted off her finger and down the cliff side. Catching a thermal draft at the bottom, the little bird leveled off and continued along beside the shattered land's edge.

she starts down looking for anything to where the last group could have disapeared into. ((ooc: i got a 2 on a 100 die for climbing,I got a 16 out of 15 for searching. too bad for me.))

Jenene goes to the cliff face and asks Lylie, " what are you doing, have you lost your head?" Jenene gives Lylie a very strange look, and says again to Lylie, " are you positive you can climb this cliff?" After all of the questions she continues to keep a close eye on Lylie preparing to use feather fall if necessary.
