The little bird was precisely what Aboriam had hoped for. A clue about where to go.
"Did you see that Oire? I will be climbing about 10 yards to your left and about 5 yards down." The Elf held tightly while he shouted over the sea-noise. "I'll need a little slack, but not much."
As easily as the ledge allowed, Aboriam crept hand over hand and foot by foot to the apparent cavern in the glassy wall.

Amie gives lets loose a sigh of relief as Meeka reveals herself. She mutters something in Atani and stands up and walks over to Oire. "Well, I have a feeling the rest of us will be heading that way. How should we all get down there. Some one will have to lower a few of us down and who ever that is needs to be strong enough to do so and also needs to able to climb down them selves. I may be able to help some with a spell, but I'm not sure how much."

[Jenene at the cliff face]
Jenene lowers her wand and says, " I guess climbing down would be much safer." Jenene puts her wand away and says to herself in Sprite, " I will use my wand later when it can be put to safer use." She then says to the group, " I might also be able to help with the use of a spell." She then goes over to the edge and watch Lylie climb back up the cliff.

(the cliffside)
Opal shrugged, careful to keep a tight hold of the rope in her hand. She looked at the other two women. "I can work as the rock weight, you know. I'm a sturdy 'ittle woman..." She smiled warmly at them, indicating her strong build.
Taking a moment to grit her teeth, she pulled on the rope slightly to wrap it around a knuckles a bit better. "Either of you have that slowfall spell? I could get down easy with one of them..."

Amie looks over at Opal. "Slowfall? hmmmm, oh wait, you mean Feather Fall. Yes I can caste that one. It would be best then if I went down last before you, Opal."

[Cliffside Still]
Jenene Says to Opal, " I can also cast Feather Fall, if you need Amie or me to cast Feather Fall I will, but I do not want to speak for Amie." Jenene keeps her eyes on Opal.

[On the cliff face, climbing]
The form of the Elf grew smaller in accordance with his distance down the cliff. Soon, Aboriam had reached the apparent opening in the semi-sheer face and looked for the best way to cross over and anything inherently dangerous inside. But then, Meeka had flown in and then flown out.

When Lylie saw that the elf man was headed down the cliff towords the cave, she followed suit. Hoping to get there the same time that the elf man did.

(the top of the hill)
Opal smiled a little, gripping the rope carefully. “All this ‘tention for me?” She made to wave them along, and then gripped the rope again, frowning at the other two girls. “I don’t mind who spell’s me and who climbs; just get going, already!”

[Jenene at the cliff]
Jenene goes up to the rope and says to the other to women, "Wish me luck fellows." Jenene grabs the rope and begins to climb down. Jenene begins to think to herself, "I hope I can make it down this rope, I am not the worlds best climber." Jenene climbs down slowly and carefully, keeping her eye on the cave.

(Cliffsides and such)
Inside the cliff cave is simple tunnel. Nicely worked and completely stabilized, the tunnel seems to extend into the side of the cliff and under the island itself. It is darkened, but the daylight spills in from the outside world.
Up on the hard earth, the party had no problems getting down to the cave either. Those who could float down did so, those who needed rope climbed. Within ten minutes, the entire party was assembled inside the spacious tunnel beneath. The crashing of the waves intensified with proximity. Oire spoke up first to break the uneasy silence, "So, I guess its ferwerd with us?"

[In the Cave on the Cliff]
Jenene says to Oire, "Yes, I guess it is forward with us." Jenene puts her staff at ready position and she thought while she waited, Here we go, I wonder what surprises await us in this cave of uncertainty. I wonder if the cave will take us to the Capital City.

Amie strokes Meeka under the chin whispering softly to the bird in Atani. She looks up at the others and smiles. "Shall we take the same formation as before or a new one also, while it is quite nicely lit here we may want to consider a touch or a light spell, or possibly both."

"Well," Aboriam said quietly. "What if Opal leads with me right behind. Then Amie for some backup with a short space to Jenene and Oire bringing up the back with a torch or Light magic."
The elf slowly looked into each face in turn for a moment. "That way the lead members can see in the dark and have their eyes adjusted already. Opal is a huge advantage, as she was raised underground. And the humans have their light handy and we still have a warrior in front and at the rear with magic support for each."
Aboriam turned to Oire with concern. "Just make sure that you can keep Amie at the edge of your light's range. We can't afford to have anyone go missing. If there is a decision to make about which passage to take, we will all stop and consider. Togetherness is most important now. Right?"
(If there is no objection)
Aboriam knocked an arrow on the drawstring and stepped forward, into the unknown darkness.
(If there any objections, ignore the last sentence and I will repost once we're all ready)

[In the Seaside Cave]
Jenene assumes her position toward the back of the party before Oire. Jenene then cast light and illuminated the cavern. Jenene thought to herself There, much better. Now I can see were I am going and not trip over any sudden crevasses. Jenene then stood ready to continue into the cave.

Amie takes her postion and sets Meeka on her shoulder. "If anything goes wrong little friend," she whispers to the bird while stroking it with her finger tip, "the flap on my back is loose enough for you to fit in." She smiles at the bird and looks forward towards the others. Don't worry about me to much. If the light grows to dim, I can always caste the spell for myself. It shouldn't be a problem though." She ready her arrow and kept a portion of or mind focused on the light spell. At some point it may be a good idea to caste the spell on an arrow to iliminate something in the distance.

"So then does that mean that you are leaving me here? I didnt hear where i was to be in this line up." Lylie looked to be a little mad at this lack a mention of where she was to be. "I dont know what it means not being put in it but i would like to have a place to be in the formation."

Aboriam spun toward Lylie in pale shock, as he realized that he had completely missed the bard. Then his face flushed as he felt his pointed ears fill with blood at the humiliation.
"I apologize, Lylie. I had meant to say that you should be at the front of the three humans, the better to watch for threats to us and more out of harm's way if swordplay is necessary."
The Shenachie remained aghast at his faux pas, but his resolute smile stayed stayed full. True, he had erred badly in ignoring an important member of the party, but it was an honest mistake.
He bowed deeply to the woman. "Please forgive my errors. Sadly, I make many."

(The cave)
Slowly making her way to the front of the group, she watched them all, making sure everyone was ready to set out. Pushing one of her thick braids out of her face impatiently, she placed her trusty pick on her shoulder. When she was satisfied that everyone was good, she turned and strode into the darkness, letting her infravision fill her sight.
Pulling one of her thick gloves of her hand with her teeth, the dwarven woman trailed her bare fingers along the wall. Following the contours of the surface, she couldn't tell if it was a natural cave or not. Must be out of practice...
----- GM: Can Opal tell if this is a natural or man-made cave? Need I make a check? If so, what? Stone working?
