As Za'che has not yet rolled for her defenses, I shall do so for her. LOL @ the results for a most unexpected dodge action. Oh well, the die do not lie. XD

Aoi misses Za'che (19+17=36!)
Thomas misses Za'che (19+17=36!)

Georgiana misses Thomas (18+3=21)

Hilariously, Hannalore hits Aoi (11+4=15)

Xi'ku remains oh so gloriously unconscious.

I was wondering, if I miss is it possible that I would hit Ted as Karl is moving towards him. I don't know what you guys's rules are for firing at people in close proximity to each other. Not that I'm doing it now, but what if a character fires at some one engagded in hand to hand combat with some one else, wouldn't that someone else possibly be hit?

Encounter 02: Standoff at the Observation Dome

We're doing this combat a bit differently. MA veterans will recall Tie Mode as a cinematic resolution to the same combat values clashing during a round. It will be the same in Shortsword with a few twists. Big Brother will give all the details of its character's actions including attacks and defense rolls. The players can include these actions in their posts in order to simulate the simultaneous nature of the actions. Xi'ku and Hannalore will respond after Feel free to ask questions.

Aoi will stand her ground and open fire on her chosen targets. When attacking her, if she makes her defense roll you attacks will not 'miss' but instead strike her personal energy field.

Aoi attacks Summer with Vanguard SMG (17+17=34) for 8 impact damage.
Aoi attacks Summer with Vanguard SMG (6+17=23) for 10 impact damage.

Aoi CRITICALLY attacks Hannalore. (20+8+17=45!) for 6 impact

damage.
Aoi attacks Hannalore (12+17=29) for 4 damage impact.

Aoi defends all attacks at DT16. In case you're just joining us, all attacks aimed at her must roll 16 or higher in order to deal damage.

Lars, who had drawn the same Hayes handguns that the players are using, will suddenly draw a second to surprise attack George. He will use the weapon he had already drawn to attack Xi'ku. Lars' first defense will be to dive backwards in the hopes of messing up potentially lethal firing angles.

Lars attacks Georgiana with SS-7 “Hayes” Pistol (4+16=20) for 6 impact damage.
Lars attacks Xi'ku with Hayes SS-7 “Hayes” Pistol (13+16=29) for 6 impact damage.

Lars defends all attacks at DT17.

For the record, I think Xi'ku may GAIN life if this hits him. XD

Its your job to come up with the plan, its Big Brother's job to make sure it happens.

I don't knwo what I was lloking for. I guess if there was melee combat it would be apropiate for a chance to parry. But htis isn't melee combat.
