I have a txt based Hex Map that might come in handy. Unfortunately, I have no way of making it work. If this can work, hex based games (a la Longsword and BattleTech) could be playable.

Isn't .txt a MS Word format? What kinds of problems are you having?

I think I might have found an answer, unless I'm a couple years too late. Here is a program that makes many different types of maps. Try it out and if you like it I will buy it off eBay and give it to everyone who needs it(in an orderly fashion). I think there is a way to get them online. If not we are a smart people we can have a gathering of the brains and figure it out. As of taking it to people, I have no problem driving as long as it is in a days trip.
