I don't know if many of you have been listening to the Live Earth concerts, but I have. I listened some last night to the Australia and Japanese ones, and now I've been jumping between Germany and China. They've had some good artists that I'll need to look up later. This is a really cool event, and everyone should check it out while its going on. Its for a great cause, and its free, so... check it out!

Indeed, I heard some great stuff coming out of the London, U.K. and Johannesburg, S.A. concerts... as well as the Sydney, Australia one. New York wasn't bad either. I also noticed a lot of interesting things coming out of the Shanghai, China concert and saw a stunning performance by the Yellow Magic Orchestra in Kyoto, Japan.
During the NBC broadcast of the event, Al Gore spoke about his plans to curb Global Climate Change. New York City's current mayor also spoke about his plan and efforts to make the NY Taxi fleet completely hybrid by 2012 (apparently the plan is already underway).
I think that concerts like these are a good step in pushing legislation forward. With any luck, we'll all make a better effort to conserve energy and press the government for a serious change on the US "there is no global climate change... lalalalalala... I AM NOT LISTENING!!!" standard.
To better futures!
