What anime(s) are you currently watching and why?
I usually am in the process of watching several animes at once, just not all at once. My big 3 are:
Bleach, for stylized action sequences old school sentai feel.
Gundam SeeD Destiny, cause I haven't met a Gundam I haven't liked.
Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid, which seemed to have ditched the love story overtheme for a more giant robot setting.

Gundam Seed. Everyone has already seen the series but me. I love it! So far its the best of all the gundams I've seen. Lets just hope it ends well.

I am currently trying to get my DC++ to work so I can "currently watch", but Fafner is first up on the list.

Well I allways like introducing things into the forum...
Megami Kouhosei - I recommend this to people...I think it's decent so far.
Naruto - Who dosn't like ninjas? Seriously?
Petshop of Horrors - This one is CLAMP-esque. So if you don't like X, or Angel Sanctuary or Clover...I really don't reccomend watching it....I liked all those others...so *shrugs*
Please Teacher - It's abit......allright alot...to straight for me. But all in all it's funny ^_^
Your Under Arrest! - This one should be a staple, at least in my opinion.
Full Metal Panic - If you havn't seen this yet, go for it!
Scrapped Princess - This goes without saying. You've all heard Anteus rant about it, well it's time you go out and see it, because he wasn't ranting for nothing.
Get Backers - This was good, and it spawned some of my favorite Yaoi fanfics and fanarts ^_^ But yeah, can't help but put it here.
Revolutionary Girl Utena - More gender bending than you can shake a stick at. It's good, but abit romancy, and alittle to Shojo ai for me. But good none the less.

Ok. New status, as I managed to figure the DC++ stuff out.
1) Tales of Eternia I loved the shit out of Tales of Destiny 2 (Tales of Eternia in Japan) and this seems like the next logical evolution.
2) Fafner in the Azure This comes highly recommended from at least two prominent members of this forum. So, I will be watching it... as soon as it is done.
3) Full Metal Alchemist I followed this briefly while I was in Omaha simply because there was nothing better to do. And then it captured my attention.
Then there is the long list of stuff I have been told I needs to watch and/or wants to watch:
Stellvia of the Universe Scrapped Princess Macross (yes. I have never watched it before. Deal.) Jewel Bem Hunter Lime VanDread Submarine 707

And I thought I was the only one that watched Get Backers. Scrapped Princess is one of the best thing out there, easily making it into my top 3 favs. If you can't get ahold of it yourself, I've still got the fansubs.
I think you'll be able to appreciate Fafner the most Eunhathes, as you just have the imagination required to comprehend it. XD Seriously, I saw the end of it about 4 months ago and I still can't tell you what happend or what that show was about. =\
Naruto will be showing on the big CN starting sept. 10 on saturdays. If you haven't caught it, give it a shot even if you don't like ninjas. =]

Not watching much, currently. I am trying to keep current with Inuyasha, but I just cannot quite seem to keep up. *shrug*
The only other thing of note right now is a seris called Tenjo Tenge; A high school martial arts series with a host of beautiful people and some really nice fights. Oh, and possibly one of the best openings ever...

Both rather good films, as I recall. I espically liked Spirited Away and all the creatures the girl meets along the way.
Did you ever see Kiki's Delivery Service?

If you have not already, get a hold of both Mai Hime and its sorta sequel Mai Otome. Old school pet monster-sentai-magical girl-high school drama fun, complete with a nice dose of fan service, both for guys and girls. I highly recommend it!

Reasons for watching it? 1.Tachibana 2.Ryuho 3.Kazuma
*Drools and turns into a puddle on the floor*
I also just bought Howl's Moving Castle (Another Miyazaki Film) and me and Derek had fun drooling over Howl ^_^ Good movie.

S-cry-ed was suprisingly good. Non-Pokemon Pet monsters all the way!
I still have to see Howl's... My brother says it's awesome. Perhaps this weekend...

My sister said Howl's wasn't that great, but I guess I can't judge it until I see it.
Not watching much anime recently, Anime in South Africa is a rare commodity unless you have lots of money or know the right people (who have...er...acquired it)
Wanting to finish Full Metal Alchemist, only had upto episode 20 something. Great series, I enjoyed it a lot. Tempted to buy the box set if I ever find it.
I hope to get back to watching Nadesko when I have the time

JJJJJOOOOOOEEEEEE!!!!!! [/dramtic
Saw Howl's Moving Castle the other day. It was good. There are some really clever bits, and the grand feel of Howl and the castle and all that was really well done.
Calcifer for the win.

I don't quite think Nadesico was as bad as Antaeus says. In any case, I think he stopped watching it after the fourth episode. I will stand by it as a recommendation, though.
Another I would support, but have yet to finish, is Fafner in the Azure. It's soundtrack alone is worth watching the anime for! (runs off and boots up Media Player)

Actually, my interpretation of Nadesico was based on its packaging and solicitation. It looked like a scifi mecha anime and ended up being a romantic comedy like some sort of academic bait and switch.
I think I can appreciate it for what it was and am glad I watched it.
Edit: Oh and first post back and all that.

on the note of Nadesico, and currently watching, though techniqually this will be watching in the near future, I found Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture, Prince of Darkness.
I'll be watching it tonight. I'm looking forward to it.
