Here's a few questions for you guys...
What tv shows do you guys remember watching as kids? What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoon? What educational shows did you like?
I think my oldest tv show memory is She-Ra. I remember watching it when I lived in the Mobile Home. When they came out with teh new episodes of He-Man I was really hoping they would redo She-Ra.
I don't really remember many Saturday morning cartoons other than Looney Toons... I think I woke up too late to watch anything else.
As far as educational goes I liked a bunch of shows. Shining Time Station is a big one now as Adrian loves trains. I also loved Eureka's Castle; Sheryal, Lois and Bram's The Elephant Show and Sesame Street.

I still know the dance for the song the sang in the Elephant Show. That was a good one. I also watched Sherry Lewis and Lambchop, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, and Wishbone. And who could forget Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago. Did you say that in a sing song tone as you read like I was when I typed it?
Also anyone remember back when USA had the Cartoon Express on Saturday mornings with Sailor Moon, 3 different Scooby Doos, Mighty Max, and others?

I remember a different generation of Saturday Morning shows. Back in the day, the only day for children's programming was Saturday... unless you watched PBS.
I remember the Wacky Racers, the Bugaloos, HR Pufnstuff and Tomfoolery. Tomfoolery used to debut independent short-subject cartoons. The most famous of these was "Bambi Meets Godzilla" by Marv Newland.

I can't believe I forgot David the Gnome. I loved loved loved David the Knome. He was sooooooo cool. Though I was a bit older when Alegra's Window and Gulla Gulla Island came out, I did watch them with Chole cuz she loved them. I liked the cat on Alegra's Window.
ok i need to make a list of every old children's show I need to find on video or dvd for Adrian.
1. Shining Time Station (cuz he loves the trains) 2. Eureka's Castle 3. David the Gnome 4. Alegra's Window 5. Gulla Gulla Island
I have the feeling this will be a very long list.

It might be a easier to find David the G[/b]nome if you use a G instead of a K.
Sorry, just had to point that out. It started bugging me. And both seasons are out on DVD for said show.

Fixed.
Ok I looked up Gulla Gulla Island online as my family had a discusion over the name of the Polywog and it said that the set was the same one used from another tv show that I remember absolutely loving.
Clarissa Explains it All.
The show taught me how to be a teenager when I was like 8 and what fashion was. It also exposed me to one of my fav artists Keith Herring. Clarissa had one hanging in her bedroom.

Who was played by Mellisa Joan Heart, who later went on to be in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Which I loved because of Salem the Cat.
Which also stared Solei Moon Frye in later episodes, who was also in Punky Brewster, which I watched growing up.

Hey hey! I'm a year younger than eunhathes... and MUCH older than youz mentally You know that flattery will get you nowhere with me. I remember Reboot. It was a kewl CG 'toon at first, then it got silly and repetitious. Finally, the animators came to their senses and decided to return to the series to a real plotline. Call me silly, but I am an old man that still finds animation fascinating.

You're not an old man unless I am one too. Because I am still amazed at the animation on FFXII, and it isn't even a next gen title.
I was also really amazed by the animation of The Spirits Within, the animation being the only thing I was amazed with.

I still know the dance for the song the sang in the Elephant Show. That was a good one. I didn't think anyone else remembered that show! I used to watch it at lunch while I ate macaroni and cheese. Mmmm.
