Ripcast: At first, I did not like this. And then I realized it was "remove from game", not "discard" like I thought. This will require a little bit of thought, but I think it works. For some reason, I keep thinking Ripcast basic lands need to be at Ripcast 2... Though, even with that, you can have 3 lands on turn 1... Actually, I think that works. You are kind of discarding your hand for a stronger Lotus Vale.
Wait. Does this mean that you can have No'Am, Grand Dragon on turn 1, then? Draw a card, discard your hand, drop No'Am... Eeeh...
I don't know why, but I think it would be cool to have a Levithan (or something equally massive) with Ripcast 10 (or something equally massive). A brother Marjhan, perhaps?
Worldcage discussion: I don't know about that... a tempo land AND a pain land? For a weaker Lotus Vale? Hmm...
My idea, though I am not sure if it is any better then the already proposed ones. I am also not sure if it fits with the current fluff... However, it does sort of fit with the remove-from-game feel of Ripcast...
The other idea I kind of like is this one...
Worldcage
Legendary Land
When Worldcage comes into play, choose a color and return a land you control to your hand. Worldcage comes into play tapped.
[Tap]: Add 1 to your mana pool.
[Tap]: Add two mana of the chosen colour to your mana pool.
And last, this one came to me at 2 in the morning. No idea.
