Royce spun backwards from his brutal assault on Maylin, tossing a smirk in Illina's direction. "Degraded? I suppose I have - you're still alive, after all." He held his blade before him, point towards the overhead, and whispered something inaudible, which quickly grew into an incoherent roar as a massive wind gust picked Illina up and smashed her into a stanchion.
Illina gasped aloud as the wind caught her breath in her lungs and she slammed back onto the metal grating beneath her. She rose again and blindly swung her sword at her adversary. She was enraged and the swing flew wide. Illina realized her sword hit no purchase, and she swore out loud.
"You damned Shinra slime. I'll kill you." Maylin winced as the pain moved through her. After it subsides, she ran over and kicked the guy in the face.
Smiling, Juri concentrated for a moment, watching as Maylin jumped to get into an attack position. One of the green orbs on her wrist glowed, shedding a pale green light. Leveling her blade at the SOLDIER, she launched an orb of coruscating green light off its tip, leaving a thin line of energy connecting her to the orb in its wake.

Illina loomed over the defeated Royce. "You were weak. Just like all the Shinra are. Maybe you should give up Junon before you're all dead." She sheathed her sword and squated by the man she and her team had just defeated. "Why don't you just give us what we want?"
"Eh... worthless... squids," Knecht panted, staggering back a few steps. "Always... turn up late." He grimaced, his left hand clutching his stomach, and his sword tip began to waver.
He gazed levelly at Illina, his eyes now a calm, clear foam-green. "Fine... bitch... take the damned football.... I hope it brings you... half the trouble... it's brought me." He lurched, his left leg almost giving out, and staggered back a few more steps, onto the embankment of the submarine dock.
"You know... you're going to... tear Junon apart... don't you?" His breathing was getting ragged. "But I guess... that's out of my hands now...." His sword fell from his hand, and he gazed upwards, unshed tears shining in his eyes, before tumbling backwards into the water.
Smirking, Juri watched as the man staggered backwards from their assault. Strong as he was, he could simply could not hold the line. She watched him trip backwards into the water below with mild interest. She rushed over to the dock, looking into the dark waters below. Unable as he was to stop us... That man WAS strong...
Turning to the other two, she gestured to the water. "I suspect the water will not finish him..."
Giving the area a double check, she noticed the man's sword laying on the ground next to her. Crouching, she scooped up the dark blade, looking it over critically. Swinging it back an forth, she noted the balance and weight carefully, before sliding it into her sheathe without a word.
Looking back up at the other two women, she gestured to the Memory Room entrance. Time for the first strike...
still feelling the effects of the poison, maylin grins in satisfaction of giving the man the final blow. she didnt like not getting what she was after. but as she see him fall into the water she relized that she never got what he was carring. "DAMNIT! Not fair! He still kept it!" She skulled as she traveled onto the next room, wishing she hadn't lost her temper.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Illina listened to Royce as he whined. "Listen, Shinra. I don't care what you think. The Guards are here to stay. Take your queue and leave the city while you still have men." She took the 'football' and stashed it in her coat. The leader of the squad put her blade down to Knecht's face, prepared to end his miserable existence.
Suddenly, her comm burst aloud, ~Cap, it looks like we have company coming. Six SOLDIERS, all Seconds, coming down the secondary shaft. Get out of there while you can, Cap!~
Illina whirred on her feet and bolted towards the door, leaving Royce Knecht behind. "Come on, you two. We need to leave, pronto!!" She slammed the gate to the door open and waved them in. "Move, move, move!!"
Head snapping up, Juri spun on her heel as she heard Illina's words. Rushing back to the elevator, she smirked, hand running over the shethe of her new blade. I do hope you have a change of heart, SOLDIER... I don't think you'd like me killing you, again...
Leaning up against the back wall of the elevator, Juri scanned upwards, half expecting soldiers to already be dropping down on her. Seeing nothing of the sort, she dropped a hand into her pouch. Rummaging around for a few moments, she pulled out a couple of small, squat little bottles, a brilliant blue in color. Holding them out to the other two, she shook them a little. "Potions, anyone?"
maylen snaps to attention. more of them? hmm... maybe i can get something out of this anyways. she grins as she get onto the elevator. "so boss lady do you think if we get into trouble we can take care of them." she takes the bottle and downs it. "thanks warrior woman. i needed that." she smiles a big grin at juri.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Juri stood against the wall opposite the door, staring blankly up at the roof. She still had a potion in her hand, though it was propped on the top of her sword sheathe. Hearing Maylin's question, she spoke, not bothering to move her head. “If they attack us, we'll be fine. You two seem good enough fighters that between the three of us, we would just blow through their battle groups."
She looked down, watching Maylin carefully. She cocked her head to the side, an apprising look on her face. Saying nothing, she turned her head, looking at Illina. "Just what did we snag, anyway? I thought we needed to get into the Memory Room..."
Illina took the potion and downed first it and then one of her own. She couldn't believe she had let herself get so blinded by rage that she forgot about her own safety. "What we recieved? Oh, this." She held up a sliver of matte plastic. "These are specially encrypted locations. It will take the confimation of the science team, but it should contain the locations of all remaining Mako reactors in the world."
She sighed and leaned against the wall of the elevator. "This shaft leads back up to the entry room. We have people there. We'll be fine." As if to punctuate her statement the elevator shook violently and stopped inexplicably. However, instead of opening as it should have, the doors remained sealed. The inside of the elevator turned amber as an emergency light began to glow in lieu of the normal lighting. Illina looked to Maylin and Juri, "It seems something is wrong."
Maylin looked at the lights flashing and grined. "we could always go up the elivator shaft manually. All i know is that i do not want to get stuck in here when they let us go, if ya know what i mean boss woman." she turned her smile to illina. "what do you think warrior woman, you up for a climb?"
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
The raven-haired woman looked to her two compatriots. "Juri, unless you can get this tin can to move from there, we're climbing to the next floor and fighting our way out." She looked to Maylin. "Don't worry. It's just another day at the office." She shot her a mock grin with the intentional irony and morbid satire of poking fun at their mutual enemies. "Besides, if we have to duke it out, we can tear up more of those lovely Shinra."
Looking up, Juri looked the other two over. Pushing off the wall, she sauntered over to the control box for the elevator, gently pushing Illina aside. “Let me look at it…”
Popping into a crouch, Juri reached into her bag and pulled out a strong, thin-bladed insulated knife and another bottle of clear blue potion. Sipping at the potion in one hand, she pried the front of the control casing open with her knife. Poking around the wires inside with the tip of her blade, Juri rummaged around carefully, looking for the source of the problem.
Finishing the last of the potion, Juri turned to look at the other two, shaking her head. Standing from her crouch, she replaced the items in her pouch, brushing off her knees. “Sorry, I can’t tell what’s wrong from here. Must be something up the line…”
Following the wall upwards, she looked towards the ceiling, then back at Maylin. “I suppose your idea is as good as any…” -----
The cable connected to the car followed the long way up and back down to the other car on the line. Looking down, it was easy to see that they were easily halfway up. Almost a full kilometre. Nice engineering, Shinra. It won't save you today. Illina fumed inwardly. She took one look up the shaft and nodded emphatically. With a sudden spring, the warrioress of the Junon Guards was climbing up the thin wire to the top. Hopefully, they would be in time to rescue their fellows.
================== OOC: SAVE~! From now on, if you see World Map or the , you can type Save into your OOC part and the game will save at that point. I did it this time, so no need to worry! ^.^
Watching Illina climb up the elevator cable ahead of her, Juri shook her head as she climbed, thinking to herself. Mako reactors? How is that going to help... the President should be the REAL target, here...
Gritting her teeth, she continued climbing. She would strike her revenge, no matter where they attacked.
Maylin looks up as the other two climbs. She grabs on and starts herself after a moment or two. "So then Bosswoman, What happens if they cut the cables. I mean won't we be kinda sunk then?" She continues to climb as she talks.
"You think that you can tell us apart? Many have tried, but then again, many have failed. What do you think the price for that is?" The Three Sisters Lylie-governess to a child of the first plain "You grew up. Thats a shame. The carousel never stops turning. You cant get off either. Its a shame."
Illina looked up the cables to the abyssmal end far above. "Well, Miss Rainmark, I don't think that will be possible." She shuddered as she thought of the devastating toll the Guards had just battered the Shinra with. "That shock that stopped the elevator... that was Beta Team." She thought about all the men and women on Beta, worrying and wondering how many of them had made it out. "It was the third part of a three prong attack." Sweat dripped from her brow to her nose and down her chin, finally falling down the shaft. "Beta was detonating a Metamako weapon high overhead. "We disabled the reactor to the tower." She stopped momentarily and looked down to the other two. "I appologize for having to keep you in the dark, you two."
Climbing carefully, Juri paid little attention to the two other women, wrapped as she was in her thoughts. Concentrating on simply climbing endlessly upwards, her subconscious mind neverless caught on a word spoken from above.
Metamako… Her mind drifted back to one of her classes, as a flashy, brown haired woman told her something about the devices. And how they should be used with utmost care…
Snapping her head up, suddenly interested in the current conversation, Juri cursed as she had to lean to the side to avoid a sweat drop from above. Glaring at the woman hanging over her, she quickly reviewed what she missed, thinking back to words only half heard.
“Metamako!? Are you crazy? What if the whole place came crashing down on us?”, she hissed, gritting her teeth. “These Reactors aren’t known for their structural integrity, you know. They’re designed to collapse inward, thus making impossible to steal ShinRa secrets…”
Cutting herself off with a glower upwards, she shook her head to clear it. What’s the point of revenge if you don’t last long enough to make sure it’s done right…?
Illina could hear Juri scoffing behind her. Maylin remained silent, which queued her in quick that her other underling knew nothing of the energy type. Which was good. Illina couldn't begin to imagine what kind of havoc would ensue if everyone knew of metamako. However, Juri's comment needed addressed. "Miss Cole, as members of the Junon Guard, I am not concerned with Shinra's secrets. They could remain buried beneath the rubble of Midgar for all I care. In any case, we only used a few milliterras of metamako for our weapon; just enough to stop operations in the base and divert attention." She stopped climbing to look down and because she had reached the floor she wanted. "This plan has been in the works for almost a year now. We'd thought of many, many contingencies and worst-case scenarios. In any case, our extraction team should be waiting on the other side of this floor. Check your equipment. Ready?" With that fateful word, Illina kicked the door, causing one side to buckle. Throwing her weight against it, the topmost pin gave way and allowed her inside...
OOC: I know its been a while, but I'm going to try and revive this thing anyway. So, lets brace for something interesting, shall we?
